I have had this robot for a few months now and it has spent over 100 hours cleaning my pool, so I wanted to share my experience. I have to say, this works better than I feared. I was worried that it wouldn't have enough "power" to do a decent job cleaning or result in a short battery life. I do have things that I wish were different, but overall, I am glad I bought it and I am happy with it. Pros: Seems to do a good job cleaning the pool in general. The app has good functionality- including different cleaning modes and the remote control to get it to come to the side when it is at the surface. The battery lasts longer than I would have guessed - I set the robot to do a 2 hour cleaning and it uses up less than 40 percent of the charge. When I set to max time cleaning, it can last well over 4 hours. Cons / Areas I wish were different: 1) Our pool has a bench along one side, circle shaped stairs int the corner and also a 2 level small seating / exit stir in the deep end corner - I wish is did a better job getting into the "corners and crevices" - when it climbs the stairs, I don't see the suction / bottom of the unit or the brush really getting everything... and there is some fine dust / debris left on the surface of the bench and the deep end climb out as well as in the corners by the steps. 2) because wifi doesn't work under water (not the fault of this unit, just a fact), there is no app or remote functionality while it is under water. 3) I wish it had a way to customize it more - for example, if it had a general layout of my pool in the app, I would love to give it areas (like the steps and bench) that I could have it focus on. Or, I would love there to be a mode that was high power (shorter battery life, but even higher power vacuum). 4) While it has a good battery life, I really wish that I could leave this in my pool for a week and have it run every other day without needing to be charged. It has a mode that allows it to run every 2 days, but the battery doesn't last a full week... and that isn't the more robust cleaning mode that I wish. I was a little nervous to spend this much money on a wireless robotic cleaner - my worry was that it wouldn't do a good enough job (it would have low power because it is battery powered) or that the battery would not last long enough for the robot to give our pool a good cleaning. But, I am happier than I expected to be. It does a good job cleaning and the battery lasts a long time. It isn't perfect - I really wish is did a better job on the trickier areas where the pool changes levels... and that I could really customize the specific areas where I want the robot to deep clean.     • Makes a huge difference and is well worth the investment!
Our pool hose, sweep, and filter were completely clogged every week from acorns and oak pollen that falls from a neighbors tree. We are unable to cut back the branches and felt stuck. Our pool guy almost quit; he was working for hours each week to get the hose and filter unclogged, and was pulling 3-5 pounds of acorns from the bottom of the pool (and we would clear it out in between his visits), the pool never got clean. He recommended we get a beatbot and I am so glad that we did! The pool is debris free, the surface is clear of leaves, pollen, bugs, and the cleaning solution supports the cleaning we do weekly. We are looking forward to having an inviting pool this summer. I am watching it now. It climbs the walls, cleans the bottom, and when done, it parks on the edge for me to fish it out. The only downsides, for me are it struggle with our steps (they are very small) and it is a bit heavy. But it is worth it. I am actually looking forward to summer! To not have to replace our pool equipment again (which we did 2 years ago), have a pool guy who can spend his time getting the pool sparkling, and to have a pool that looks inviting is well worth the cost.     • Beatbox Pro Pool Cleaner - 5 Stars

The Beatbot pool sweeper works as described. It is doing a much better job than our aged Polaris was. The internal filter basket on the Beatbox is equipped with a much finer screen material allowing the unit to pick up sand and other small particles. The Polaris primarily picked up leaves and debris. We typically run it every three days which in our case keeps the pool clean. As an added benefit we no longer have the Polaris and its hose permanently in the pool when we swim and are consuming much less energy now that we are not running the auxiliary pump and have less fixed equipment to maintain. The advertised weight of 27 pounds is easy enough for me to handle, but it does weigh a little more when removing it from the pool until the water drains out. I typically set it on the side, remove and clean the filter basket and then store it in the charging stand so it is ready for the next event. My wife has back problems so in her case stooping down to retrieve it from the pool is problematic. The only other downside is that it does not clean the stairs very well. I still gave it 5 stars based on how well it does everything else. Overall, I would and have recommend this to a friend, especially when facing constant repairs to aging infrastructure or a failed auxiliary pump. ... show more

It works well, but I had to return it because it was just too heavy for me to lift out of pool, take to hose area to clean, and then return to charger.

The unit is a quality unit that cleans the bottom, sides and water line effectively. It also skims the surface as well and overall I am satisfied with this unit. It is a bit heavy and slow, but it does a good job cleaning.

Worked less than a week. Either the unit is defective or the charger. Received unit on July 7. Starting calling and emailing customer support on the 15th. Best advice was try another outlet. Wanted us to send videos of it not working. Finally they sent a return label to ship it back. Seller received the return on July 24. To date, no reply on getting a new unit or a refund. At this point, I’ll take a refund over replacement. Such a hassle. ... show more

    • Beatbot vs Aiper vs Dolphin
After purchasing and testing three different pool robots in my 20’ x 40’ rectangular vinyl pool, here are my thoughts: 🥇 1st Place: Dolphin (by far the best)
 The Dolphin completely outperformed the others. On its very first cleaning cycle, it picked up all of the fine debris that had been sitting in the pool for over a month despite repeated cleanings with the other two robots. It cleaned methodically, covered the entire pool, climbed the walls reliably, and left the water noticeably cleaner. If your priority is actually getting your pool clean—especially fine dirt and dust—this is the one I’d recommend. 🥈 2nd Place: Aiper
 For a cordless robot, the Aiper was surprisingly good, especially considering the price. It didn’t clean as thoroughly as the Dolphin and its battery life resulted in a shorter cleaning cycle, but it still did a respectable job. If you’re specifically looking for a cordless option and want good value, I’d recommend it. 🥉 3rd Place: Beatbot
Unfortunately, the Beatbot was the biggest disappointment despite being the most expensive of the three. It consistently missed large sections of the pool and struggled to pick up fine debris. Even after multiple cleaning cycles (and even a replacement unit), it left behind the same dirt that the Dolphin removed in a single pass. It also failed to climb the walls effectively in my 20’ x 40’ rectangular vinyl pool, often slipping back down before reaching the waterline. For the premium price, I expected much better performance. Bottom line: If cleaning performance is your top priority, the Dolphin is worth every penny. If you want a cordless robot at a more affordable price, I’d choose the Aiper. Based on my experience, I would not purchase the Beatbot again. ... show more

    • Best pool vacuum ever!

Yes it’s expensive. Yes it has bugs like WiFi not working when it’s under water. But it’s cleans the pool like no other vacuum I have had. I went through 3 Aipers different models. 3 exchanges of Seagull Pro and this Beatbot is so much better! I have a Dome return in the deep end and the Aiper would always get stuck the Beatbot does not so much easier I can just throw it in and forget it. Set up was easy. My only complaint is when you access the debris basket the handle gets really nasty with whatever you collect. But that is a design issue. Other than that everything else is great! Update a year in and the water sensor went bad so it would not start a cleaning cycle because it did not know it was in the pool. They sent me a label and I sent the unit back. Big tip do not throw away the shipping box! Customer service was great as you would expect from a 2k pool vacuum company. I am only concerned that it only lasted a year?! I have no complaints the vacuum works perfectly! Never gets stuck and does a great job of cleaning the pool. Let’s see how the new one does after a year? ... show more
