It's amazing that this thing opens up as big as it does based on the box it comes in! I'm not sure how long it actually took, but I opened it and left it in my garage for a day to fully "inflate" and off gas. By the next day it was full size and super comfy. I didn't notice a smell after bringing it inside the house. I'm about 5"6' and it was a comfortable for me to sit in. I bought it for my son who is about 4" and it is absolutely perfect for him. It inflated fully and is really nice. The cover is well made- the zipper seems strong and durable, and the material is soft and comfortable - and important as a mom- looks easy to clean. The grey goes great with his room too. Overall- give it time to inflate and off gas and you'll have a great "bean bag" chair

I bought this for myself to sit on in the bedroom and be able to relax while soaking my feet...and the Horde of kids have co-opted this amazingly comfy bean bag chair for themselves when they have their friend over and want to all game and camp out in the living room. It's so ridiculously soft that when I do have it to sit on, I catch myself rubbing my hands on it. The memory foam is very conforming and easy to sink myself in without having anything ache. It is a little difficult to get out of at my age, but that's not a bad thing in relation to comfort. It doesn't have any weird smells, doesn't sink in to flat pancakes when the kids jump on it, and isn't overly heavy so I can move it around the living room to the bedroom pretty easily.

The quality of the item is very nice. The inner cover is nice and I plan on spraying with scotch guard to keep the memory foam from getting wet. The outer cover is very soft and it’s great that it’s easily removable and washable. The only drawback is that the filling is very FIRM which means it’s not as comfortable as you would expect. It may soften over time but as of now it’s more “solid” than “soft”.

Unfortunately these are not actually beanbags, but are filled with bits of rubber foam (which arrives vacuum packed which then has to expand), which means they don't function as beanbags, as you never have anything to rest/lean on or support you, as actual beans or solid bits of filling achieve - the bits of filling just compresses, which isn't the purpose of a beanbag type filling - beanbags contain lots of small pieces of solid fillings, all which these don't - if I could be bothered I would send them back (I ill-advisedly bought two..) - by the way, it certainly doesn't contain 'memory foam', as I now see that the description states (ie not beans or similar), but just chunks of rubber foam off cuts which in no way could be said to to be 'memory foam' (which would likely be more comfortable if it was filled with that)
