UPDATE SEPT 2025 I've had this bean bag for over a year and it's gotten very uncomfortable. You see... the foam is illregular machine cut foam (mostly triangular) and most of the foam pieces are large: as large as a double decker sandwich or stuff ball size but with points. The other foam pieces range in size of an apple to a large egg. All the small pieces have settled to the bottom, which is what happens to smaller things when in a bag with larger things, and the large is what's on top... Ouch! The large pieces are very bumpy and lumpy and very uncomfortable. We tried turning it upside down and that worked. There's just too many foam pieces to mix by hand, and too many to empty out and restuff BUT turning it upside down worked. I with i had bought the 4 foot the 5 foot seems like there's too much for one person to use but too little guy 2 people to sit comfy together. Best to have one person have it all without ask the extra the 5 gives you that needs to be adjusted for comfort: it's hard to get your comfy with so much foam fighting you. It came in an 20" square box that weighed almost 50lb. Open the delivery box and there's a rock hard vacuum sealed cube the same size as the box it came in. There is an instruction booklet you should look at, but you probably won't, but you should. Inside that vacuum sealed wrap is the last bag the "creature" lives in. Carefully puncture the plastic and let in some air to get enough room to carefully cut away that final plastic bag. I put on the cover as it was growing. There was NO SMELL AT ALL. When it almost full in less than a half hour you can test it out. It will continue to expand in firmness but not really in size. To use it as a bed, lay it flat like a cookie with the seam running around it. To use it like a chair, stand out up on it's edge so the band is running verticality from top to bottom like a cookie standing on it's edge. To sit, aim your butt to the middle and just sit/fall into the center. If the back of the "chair" isn't high and firm enough get up and push it's guts, from the back of it, as high as you can info a high lean forward. And try again. Eventually you remember how to make it just for your body. The memory foam pellets need to expand each to their own personal size and they tend to be stuck to each other until the grow away from each other as they expand to full size... About 36 hours we noticed the firmness was the same now. I have found myself napping on it more than I sit in it AND I never nap; never ever have I been a person to take a nap. I didn't like getting into my nice clean fresh made bed, with clothes I've been wearing all day. I like to get into bed at night, after my shower, knowing it's clean. With this big bag of comfort, I'm grabbing a blanket and flopping in to relax and listen to an audio book or music and just let myself drift away. I'm almost 70, retired and I have a great deal of stress in my life. This "creature" has helped me cope and stay strong. It's my CREATURE (HUG) COMFORT I did not know I needed. I would lHAVE TO GET ANOTHER if this one got gone. My grown son loves it too and will probably be getting the 4".

This bag chair is very well made with comfortable material. I like that I can wash it if the kids get it dirty. It has memory form of sort sort in it. My only issue with it is that it may be a little too firm for my grandkids. I may try to take some of the foam pieces out. It is not like a soft squishy bean bag of the old days.

I shopped around and this was the best deal and did not disappoint! Very sizeable bean bags and the filler is soft and plush and comfortable. See my photo for 5'4 235lb human and two 25lb dogs for scale. These shipped within a week and puffed up within 12hrs. Washable removable covers were a soft velvety texture. For the reviews complaining the foam didn't expand: you MUST fluff and break it up yourself ASAP. When we pulled ours out of the vacuum pack it was like a square brick but with some kneading and tossing it was beanbag shaped in no time. Very delighted with our new lounge area.

This may sound funny but I bought this for the dog. Now the dog weighs more than I do and is quite large so this size was perfect for her. Her hair vacuums off it nicely and the zippered cover washed nicely too. She is quite happy with it and it has become her favorite place to sleep. The foam is pretty supportive too.
