  • Clean looking case at a great price.
Size: White Style: DARK BASE 700
Great case, did a full water cooled build in it a while back. Fairly easy to modify to fit some extra parts into it. Psu shroud does a great job at keeping the mess out of sight. The case has some limited airflow but it's design is to be as quiet as possible so that's not a total downside, and with enough fans you can certainly force enough air into it to make temps stay cool. I did push/pull on a 360 and 240mm rads in it. ... show more

  • Superior build quality, ultimate versatility
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
I completed my machine three years ago (2019) with the Dark Base 700 and remain enthusiastic. It is QUIET, extremely adaptable taking three HDs and three SSDs. I used a Corsair AIO cooler and while I don’t overclock, I do a lot of photoshop. The machine runs cool even in a somewhat enclosed space. I recently replaced my GPU and discovered no problems with disintegrating plastic — after three years. Would I purchase it again — most assuredly! ... show more

  • MASSIVE! Silently demands all the attention in the room!
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
I bought this case for my unRAID server, and strictly for aesthetic purposes. This is my first case from be quiet!, so I'm not sure if all the fancy insulation and damping makes a difference. But it is definitely quiet. I replaced both of the stock fans with 5 Thermaltake fans, and my small desk fan is still louder than this machine even at high loads. Cable management is a breeze, and the power supply cover/shroud/whatever at the bottom of the case is great. It's big, heavy, menacing, and of course... quiet. I love it. ... show more

  • Beautiful case, terrible airflow.
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
The build quality is superior and the included BeQuiet fans are silent, however, airflow is terrible. If you plan on water cooling your CPU and GPU this case is a great choice. Easy to build in, built in cable management is decent and there’s plenty of room.

  • Plastic becomes brittle, top airflow sub-par
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
I bought this case in March 2018 with the plan of custom watercooling. The initial install and build quality was as i expected for a case of this price point. After 3 years the plastic is so brittle I so much as try to removed one of the hard drive plastic covers it explodes into plastic shards. The front clips for the front panel have all token bad enough the front panel will not light up with the contacts pins due to insufficient pressure. The power supply access panel is also missing 80% of its tabs due to brittle plastic. I’ve had to tape of all the extra fan grills not in use and also taped gaps/holes not in use. All chasing better airflow for my top radiator. About a year ago I resorted to bending the top fins to allow a larger gap for the top radiator exhaust. Before all my “mods” I was idling at around 43c on water…. Since then and no front panel I’ve gotten down to 28-30c… at idle mind you. I had cpu temps as high as 80c+ before moving now it sits at around 55-62c depending on load at full usage. Due to how much of the plastic tabs and case peices have broken and the expectation of breaking more peices as I need to remove a lot of the panels to do fluid flushes for my watercooling setup; I’m looking to go with a different company for my next case. For air cooling where you don’t need to take apart the case nearly as often this case is great to look at. For watercooling I would and can not recommend for longevity. What once was a beautiful setup is now an embarrassment of my hard work and investment. Current setup: Ryzen 5800x (originally a ryzen 2700x) Asus strix x470-f 32gb Corsair vengeance rgb 3200mhz ram Evga ftw3 3080 ti (originally picture FE 2080 ti) Evga 1200w g3 power supply Cable mod cables Ekwb 2 ea 360mm radiators, res/pump combo, monoblock, and gpu block 6 ea Noctua cpp 2000 rpm 120mm fans Hdd/m.2s are not important to list but I’ve for 7th of storage total in this system ... show more

  • Very nice case with one caveat
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
Overall very happy with the case. Fit, finish, design and aesthetics are great and it is quiet as advertised. I went with 4 intake fans and two exhaust fans so that none of them have to move very quickly. Whisper quiet even under load. But since this is a very expensive case I will be picky. My only real gripe is that they are gilding the lilly a bit when it comes to cooling options. It states that you can put three 140mm fans in the front and.... this just doesn't seem to be true. It needs a few more mm up there. You can get two 140mm and one 120mm fan. I had to exchange one of my fans to get it to work. The bottom fan also requires that you not use the HDD cage down there which can be figured out if you read the docs enough beforehand, but it isn't really stated that you lose those HDD slots when doing so. And lastly it states that you can mount 3 140mm fans along the top or a large liquid cooled radiator up there. This is... technically true. But there is only one tiny slot in the back so anymore than a single fan is pointless, it will just blow air around inside the case and cause turbulence and likely reduce cooling rather than help. It works great with giant air coolers, but it's not well setup for liquid cooling. ... show more

  • Well crafted
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
I like the case, but the box it came in was in bad shape. The tape was gone on the bottom and on top the tape was just about gone. If it had not been for the Styrofoam on the ends of the computer case, the case would have fallen out of the box. That is why the overall rating is only 4 stars. Now that I have put the motherboard in and set up, I have found it is a great case ... show more

  • Perfect mid tower case
Size: Black Style: DARK BASE 700
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for something not too big and they had room for the Liquid cool 360 radiator and this worked out very well, had to modify the front but was able to fit three 280 fans upfront which worked out perfect for the airflow. Very well design case. The 280 liquor cool cooler may not fit depending on how wide your memory is, just a heads up! RBG be quiet fans Worked out perfect as on the back you can mount the hub controller directly to the SSD drive which makes everything easier to access with the fan header and the RGB wires. ... show more
