  • low profile and does really well for its size.
Style: BZ003
so, if what you need is to cool off an NVME directly under a video card, the best you can do will be a heat spreader that comes with the motherboard. but lets say your motherboard doesn't have a heat spreader for that slot because its not an expensive board. so if you are me, you get a vertical gpu bracket to give some more room there, but the riser cable is stiff and presses up on the taller nvme heatsinks so you need something low profile but still cools relatively well. well then you buy this guy. its not the coolest heatsink you will find, but its only 2C hotter than a zero M15 from id-cooling. I'd say if what you want is something a little less obvious / flashy then this is the heatsink to get. and it claims to fit 1 and 2 sided nvme sticks. not bad! ... show more

  • Fantastic SSD Heatsink
Style: BZ003
I bought another heatsink for my second SSD within 15 minutes of installing the first one I was so impressed with the temperature results. Using a Samsung 980 and the Samsung Magician performance benchmark temperature on the bare SSD would max out around 51C. With the heatsink that came with my motherboard the temp would max around 47C. With this heatsink the temperature would max out at only 38C. This heatsink can only be installed in one direction on the SSD otherwise the SSD cannot be installed onto the motherboard so pay attention. This heatsink is also a bit thick and may make contact with a GPU if it is installed underneath one. In my case it barely makes contact with the bottom of the GPU, but it seems to be the perfect height to act as a "support" for my GPU and take out the sag. ... show more

  • Dropped NVME Temps by 15°C
Style: BZ002
One of my customers has an HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini. It's running a SK hynix BC501 HFM512GDJTNG-8310A which was showing temps in the 63-66°C range at idle. The small cabinet of the Mini just doesn't provide much airflow so I wasn't sure if a heatsink/cooler would work well. When I installed the BZ002 MC1 M.2 SSD Cooler I installed a thermal pad on the bottom exterior of the heatsink case as it was lightly touching the system board. After installation NVME temperature settled in at 47-51°C. ... show more

  • be quiet! BZ003 MC1 Pro is no better than non-Pro
Style: BZ003
The Pro drive cooler keeps the max temp at 55C verses the heatsink that came with the motherboard, which gets to 65C. 10C at max and 5C cooler when not being used.

  • Dropped Temps by 5°C Under Load
Style: BZ003
I bought an SSD that came with an "innovative" graphite heatsink: It constantly ran at 70°c and died in 8 months. This heatsink- on the contrary- is no joke: It dropped my SSD's temps by 5°c under max load and a massive 14°c at idle. I put my hand on the heatsink after I ran the test; it was warm and clearly taking heat away from the chips. If you want to prolong the life of your highspeed SSD, this is the way to go. Disclaimer: I have a low profile CPU cooler the blows cool air right onto the SSD, plus I have a high airflow case. So my temps may be a bit more generous than others. The product doesn't specify that you should remove the sticker on your M.2 Drive before installing the heatsink. I feel like people could easily look over this and suffer from poor performance because of it. I got the heat pipe option just as an FYI ... show more
