This mattress cover has the feel of a medium weight feather topper. The synthetic batting is held nicely in place by the fully sewn surface area so you wont have any problems with the material bunching up unevenly. The topper has strong elastics at the corners and the skirting material is a thin silky feeling stretch material. The very corners where the materials meet look like they could become/comprised in the future from wear, but nothing a needle and thread (or machine) can't fix. Besides the fact that its not quite what one would call extra thick and the wear longevity of the corners as mentioneed, its still a decently well made topper that will add some squishy warmth when you need it.

My husband and I slept on top of this mattress topper for the first time last night, and all we can say is OH MY GOODNESS! He and I enjoyed some of the best sleep we have experiences in a long, looooong time. Our dog, who also sleeps with us, enjoyed it too, I think. He usually jumps down in the middle of the night, but stayed with us until the wee hours of the morning today. Our little family LOVES this mattress topper!

This fits well and stays on without issue but I don't feel like it is as fluffy as it looks on the photos. It does properly fit on the bed without there being a gap and the pockets work well for holding it on. It does make the bed softer and more comfortable to sleep on. I think part of my issue is that I have a sheet over it (as recommended with all mattress pads) and the sheet pulls it down too snug for it to be as fluffy as it should be. I really like it and I am going to try it with another type of sheet to see if that helps with the fluffiness.
