I was looking for a packable bed/mat that my dog can use on her camping bed. I also wanted to be able to shove it in a bag for when she hangs out at events and on patios at happy hour. So far, she loves having her own spot. She always knows that this is her area to lay down, so it makes her feel comfortable in new or busy environments. This mat is somewhat water repellant but it does tend to get damp on wet grass or as the dew falls at night. It IS easy to clean off and sand shakes off easily. I do wish the included stuff sack had more compression. You do need to tie off the string with a knot to keep the bag shut. I like that it's light enough for her to carry herself while backpacking and with a different stuff sack, I think it could compress down further. Overall, I am happy with the thickness and quality. I would appreciate more waterproofing and a way to compress the pad for travel. ... show more

I read so many reviews that said these mats from many sellers were too thin. Think of it like this, you lay a blanket on the ground for a picnic, a towel for the beach. This is the same thing for dogs, only fluffier. It's comfy for them. My dogs took right to it. The size is the largest around for the price which is awesome. It seems like durable material. And I bought the bright orange so I could easily see bugs on it. I wouldn't notice ants or spiders on the black one. Literally my only suggestion would be a compression sack as the bag is rather large which lets the mat fluff up. It can be smaller for packing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This doggie pad is not waterproof at all and it holds alot of water and my dogs do not like to lay on it. I leave it on their canopy beds on the back deck and I try to remove them before it rains 🌧 but I don't always make it and why I purchased these thinking they were more waterproof then a blanket. Our dogs took right to it. It is loud as they move around because of the material, but it’s very nice to have a single travel mat for two large dogs to share. Much simpler to roll out one mat. It rolls up easily to get back into its bag, too!
