I was getting excited about the look, but healthy, minimalistic and gorgeous in professionally produced commercial images might not translate applied by me to my face-- but bayFree does. I tried elf's luminous putty blush and the color was too bright/dark and the luminosity a bit too sparkly. bayFree has good color, I could make it too much, but it's easy to moderate, blends well and the glow perfection: a fine pearl, not glitter, not metallic gleam. I had ordered Jones Road Miracle Balm and it had glitter in it, which I didn't care for. I would have liked to have tried other colors, but it is quite expensive and if you order the mini sizes, you must order several at a time. I decided to try this product after reading the comparisons to Jones Road Miracle Balm. The Shakira Pink provides a nice pop of color to my fair olive complexion and has more pigmentation than Jones Road Flushed balm. It goes on smoothly. However, it is not as silky or as luminous as Jones Road balm. And as a much more affordable product, you have to assume that the ingredients in Bayfree are not as high quality. So, buy Jones Road if you can afford it but also be happy that Bayfree has made a decent substitute for a great price. (PS: I also like the size of Bayfree's balm which fits easily in a purse or makeup bag. Jones Road balm is a bit too large for easy packing.) ... show more

Original review: I have pale skin & Dewey is basically the same color as my skin and there's not even a twinge of pink. It should be advertised as clear because that's what it is. I cannot even tell when I put it on. I expected it be light but not this light. I wonder if mine was a dud because others with Dewey didn't seem to have this issue. Edited: It wasn't an easy return process but I was able to return it & get the Pink Camelia which is what I had expected Dewey to be. It's a very lovely & natural looking tint, matches the natural pink color of my cheeks if I pinch them. It doesn't last very long so probably need to be sure to wear primer underneath but it is a really nice shade so I've changed my review from 1 star to a few. I think they need to adjust their descriptions & Amazon needs to have an easier return/exchange process. I see a lot of potential for this product. Basically go 2 shades darker than what you think will work. I don't know how people are using Dewey. It's seriously like putting clear see-thru gloss on. ... show more

This was a product that came up as recommended so I decided to look into it. Amazon rabbit hole lol! Well…. It didn’t lead me astray. I’m hooked! I have never had much success with cream based products but as I’ve gotten to playing around with this, it can literally do everything! Quick little swipe here, dab a little there, put a little on the lips and it’s very nice looking. Easy to apply and remove. Doesn’t budge or rub off on your clothes. I purchased 2 colors of JRB Miracle Balm. It is thick, sticky and difficult to apply. I did however, like the concept. I ordered the Pink Sakura by Bayfree and I am sold! I have been wanting to try the Jones Road Balm, but don’t want to spend that much money, so I decided to give this a try. I bought the pink Sakura (I have fair/light skin coloring). I really liked the way it looked and the ease of putting it on and decided to buy another shade. Lucky for me, they happened to be on a lightening deal for under $8 each, so I ended up grabbing 2 more. I got Dewy (the one I intended to purchase) and nude gardenia (the why not since it’s 1/2 the price purchase). Swatched on my hand from closest to the bracelet to my knuckles: pink sakura, nude gardenia, Dewey. Dewey is perfect as a highlighter and on my eyelids. On my lips it looks too 90’s, so I wouldn’t wear that one on my lips. The other 2 shades look great on my cheeks, eye lids, and lips. I just used my fingers to apply it. I love doing up my makeup, but I work from home and do carpool every day, so most days I don’t need a full face of makeup and having this will be great for easy makeup application. I think I will actually carry the nude gardenia with me in my purse and keep the pink sakura at home or visa versa, so that I have on the go application for all over touch up’s when needed. I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 if not for the scent (flavor when on my lips). It’s got too much of a rose smell/taste. It’s not a horrible smell and likely a scent many women would like, but it’s not for me. I dont dislike it enough not to use it though, evident by the fact I bought 2 more after opening the 1st and knowing about the scent/taste. I obviously cannot compare it to the Jones Road one, but have seen on videos and posts that this is a good/affordable dupe.
