The only thing I had to do was set my idle speed and my 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 450 is running great. I have no complaints and would purchase this carburetor again if needed.

Worked perfectly for a 2006 Yamaha Bruin 350 with absolutely no adjusting. The ATV started easily on the first try after the carburetor was installed. The ATV idles correctly at low idle and accelerates from idle to full throttle with full power with no bogging down and operates at full throttle as it should. Reviewer can't vouch that the carburetor, or more specifically, the jets, are appropriate for other models, but if the buyer has a Yamaha Bruin or a Yamaha with the same or very similar engine, it should be a "plug and play" replacement. This carburetor works exactly as it supposed to-on the vehicle it is on. That is the best advertisement for a product-the product works as it supposed to.

Works, but not great. Installed on a Kodiak 450 and it would idle fine but after warming up it would Bog and die with the slightest bit of throttle. Realized that it was running way too rich. Had to remove the tank again and remove the diaphragm cover and pull the needle jet. Needle jet was way oversized for 450cc. There was only one adjustment notch left on the needle for the e-clip in the lean direction and after putting it back together it was still running way too rich. Had to pull the jets out of my old carb and clean them up and basically rebuild this carb to make it run right. Got it adjusted and it now runs but it was a huge hassle. I guess you get what you pay for, and I would not recommend or buy this product again.

Got the carb for a 2007 250 Yamaha Big Bear. Carb looks exactly the same but it is Jetted for the larger engines... Installed quite easy and it started great but was flooding out the engine with the oversized jets that came with it... I read one of the reviewers that said his carb kit came with different jets, but mine did not... It was a very easy fix, because I just pulled off the float pan by removing the bottom 4 screws on both my old carb that came with my quad runner and the new carb and I just pulled out the 3 jets from my new carb and swapped them with my old 3 jets (that were smaller and already jetted for my engine and for our altitude)... it is very easy and just make sure that your old jets are not plugged and it will run great for you.... There were many people that reviewed this carb and did not understand that the 3 jets inside the float bowl need to have the same side as your old one and can be swapped and it will run perfect after that. My Big Bear ran way good after I spent maybe half an hour to pull the carb back off and swap and reinstall it... My kit also came with a great see through fuel filter that I just cut the fuel line and installed and it great. Note: The choke on the new carb came with a new plunger sitting inside its housing, with the choke cable plastic housing screwed into the carb... You will need to unscrew the cable housing to see the plunger inside the carb... the plunger looks like it is screwed into the carb because it has a slot across it that look like a regular screw driver would fit... just use a regular screw driver to kind of pull it out or turn it on its side to drop the plunger out (another reviewer did not know it was the new plunger and just thought it was a different choke and ran the engine without the choke, when it was and easy fix .... Had issues with my 2000 Kodiak ATV. slapped this bad boy in and runs like a champ. Only issue is my choke no longer works. I’m willing to bet that it’s my fault or needs some adjusting so I’m not worried about it.
