The lamp is very good quality and seems to be well made. I like the size and weight of the lamp and it will fit in several places around my home. It will be fun rotating him around my place. I’m not crazy about the finish but that is a personal preference so I will not give it fewer stars because of that. The finish is well represented in the photos and my lamp matched the photos in material and pose. I will spray paint him with a hammered metal spray paint so he will look more like vintage plumbing. The product itself is fun....sturdy and works great. it arrived late (however a lot of deliveries are late these days so I'll cut them some slack there). Easy to use and the on/off switch is great. Using different bulbs allows you to control the brightness and spread of the light. When it arrived, the red knob on the back was broken off because the packaging wasn't sufficient to protect it during shipping. Thankfully, the person I gave it to has an extra knob and knows how to replace it. Still, a broken part is not what you want to see when you've waited so long for it to arrive. ... show more

    • The 40 W bulb is way too bright to use can't even look at it. Get a lower watt one.

It says to get a 40 W bulb but unless you want to light up the entire house get a 25 W from Amazon. I bought the 40 W and I get headaches easy and could not look at the light as it was so bright. I plan to use it on my side table but too bright for that. I put the bulb in at my office when I got it and my guys said turn it off quickly. Waiting for the 25 W to come in and hopefully it will not be so bright. There is no way to put a shade over it so keep that in mind when buying. I love it and will find a way to use it for sure. So. As others have said, and as you can see from different pictures, the item you get could look different from the one pictured on the site. Or even from one purchase to the next. I was able to rotate the torso left and right but that was about it. I am kinda bummed because like others had said I wanted to purchase the one posed in the picture. Amazing lamp love the look of it. Made from real metals witch does make it pretty heavy. The packaging wasn't great the box was all beat up but the lamp was fine. Seems the actual item varies from picture shown, his pose is what attracted me but the actual item I’ve received isn’t sitting the same ex: legs aren’t crossed, bulkier arms that awkwardly remain mid air, rather than a natural lean onto his lap, looking straight forward rather than to the side (bummer, considering I’ve paid $69 for an item that isn’t exactly as expected). Nonetheless it’s still kind of cool I guess. NOTE: it cannot be placed on a shelf or dresser with a flat front because the way it’s shaped the feet lean too far in and it will not sit right, it will be unstable; so a ledge that is open for the feet to hang inward is best. ... show more
