This rug isn't like any other rug I've had. It's super super soft with what feels almost like a rabbit fur coating on the top. It's very lightweight and almost....delicate. It stays put fairly well for such a lightweight rug, it's nonslip somehow. But I would definitely not put it in my kitchen or a main thoroughfare through the house. Mine is in my bedroom along the fire place where it gets little traffic and no shoes or anything dirty or rough.

We had a need for an oriental rug runner in our house, and we wanted something with dark, vibrant colors. This rug was perfect for our needs. Our concern – and the reason it was docked one star – is that the rug was tightly folded rather than tightly rolled for shipping. Rugs always should be rolled, as it prevents crease-marks that could mar the rug's finish. Moreover, these TPE-backed rugs are not that thick, so rolling it into a two-foot-long tube would not have been much larger than the large rectangular package it was folded into. And it would have rolled out perfectly flat and crease-free. That was not the case with our rug, which had what appeared to be a centerline discoloration from the lengthwise folding. After careful work with an upholstery brush, we were able to mostly remove that particular blemish (and the reason this rug did not have an even lower rating). If you're looking for a colorful oriental runner (ours was 2'x8') with a non-skid backing, then this is a very good choice. Just be aware that it will come tightly folded and will require some TLC to remove the marks caused by that folding. Otherwise, we are very satisfied with this rug and, with the caveat stated, recommend it highly. As usual, I will update this review if our future experience with this product warrants any revision of our review and/or rating.

I ordered the 2' by 8' Floral Folk Art Runner Rug in Beige/Green for the hallway by my front door, and it's been working wonderfully. The floral print is beautiful, and the beige background helps hide any dirt tracked into the house. It's been pet-friendly and kid-friendly, and the edges have stayed tight against my tile floor. The non-slip backing has kept it from sliding around, which is great because it's by the kitchen entrance. I appreciate that it's OEKO-TEX STD 100 also. It's great that it's machine washable for when it becomes dirty. I've only been using a broom to clean it, and that is working fine. It has a low-pile heght which is good for the hallway, but still feels thick enough to walk upon. I think it's a good value for the money, especially since it's washable in the washing machine. I'm very happy with this purchase, and would buy again.
