EDIT: There is a very feint high pitched whine from the battery. It's not consistent, and unless the room is perfectly silent I can't hear it when it is making noise. My dogs seem to hear it better than I can, but they seem to be getting used to it. I specifically bought this head strap because it seems to be the best (only?) halo-style strap with a battery that fits the quest 3. So far it is almost perfect. It completely takes the pressure off the face and is way more comfortable than the standard "jockstrap". The distance from your face is also slightly adjustable and the strap keeps the headset remarkably stable. I don't have any issues with the headset wiggling around on my face when I move. The battery doesn't make any noise when charging or discharging as far as I can tell, and it does extend play time, but I haven't yet quantified exactly how long. The one thing I didn't like was that there is only one ratchet adjuster on the back, while many halo-style straps (without batteries) also have an adjustment dial for the top strap as well. I would have liked to ratchet the top down just a little bit tighter. I have a pretty big head, so someone with a small head might not be able to get a very good fit. In all it's a night-and-day improvement over the default strap and will extend your play time not just by the battery life, but also extending the time you can play before you get a headache. Better, more comfortable than the elite strap and cheaper too. Worth the money, would recommend 👌 If you are still playing with the jockstrap, stop reading reviews and buy this now. If you already have a 3rd party battery strap that you're happy with, this is still a solid strap for the price but maybe not worth an upgrade until they make one with a top adjustment dial.

I'll start with saying it feels great on the head. I can play for hours without it hurting around my nose or pulling on my neck. I will also say, I bought the wrong one. I have a quest 2. This is not for a quest 2. I missed the return window and ended up cutting the original straps to get the parts that actually snap onto the headset and then hot glued them onto this in some sort of shameful amalgamation. It only gives me maybe 1 to 2 hours of extra play time, which doesn't feel like a lot somehow. Especially when my family and I were passing this thing around for a game night and we had to cut it short when it ran out of battery.

We got this for our meta quest 3 and it allows us to play for about 4 hours straight! We absolutely love it and the fact it's so easy to fit to your head quickly, and you can flip the headset up quickly if needed as well. It's very light and comfortable, wish it had an option to swap batteries to play longer but I'm very pleased with this headstrap. It doesn't move once you tighten it down and was worth the price and then some. 100% reccomend!

Soo i bought a new quest 3 and worked perfect before buying this battery pack, after buying this i was concerned with the hissing sound from the pack but seeing all the reviews here stating it was normal to hear that i continued to use it (big mistake) issues started to arise with in a week with my quest randomly going into a black screen and loosing connection to controllers although it would be fixed by restarting the device but over time the headset just went black screen with no fix, luckily im under warranty and was able to get a replacement headset which worked fine the first days and when i decided to install this battery pack as well it went into a black screen literally minutes after i plugged it in and i immediately removed the pack as i could confirm that that is literally frying something in my quest soo if recommended to stay away from this battery pack

This is a HUGE upgrade from the factory strap on the Quest 3. It is comfortable and the extra battery makes for lots of more gaming fun. Well worth the money

It’s a nice headset and the battery works well. My only issue with it is it doesn’t fit snugly on my head. I am petite and the head strap won’t tighten enough to keep the vr on so I then get the weight of the vr and the bulky strap bouncing around on my head and face.
