  • Hi quality sprayer. Impressed
Size: 5.3GAL Color: Yellow
Quality build. I don't buy cheap things. I hate getting an item in and find it cheaply made and it doesn't perform. This item isn't that. From the time it came out of the box to the real time use, it been impressive. PLENTY of pressure for spraying anything you want. Love the MIXER inside to mix the concentrate. Love the battery indicator. Love that it shuts off the pump when you release the trigger. High quality plastics that look great. Feels good on the back. And. most important, works with Dewalt 20 v batteries. Highly recommended. Would buy again. Great seller shipped right away. ... show more

  • Definitely worth the money.
Size: 5.3GAL Color: Yellow
Absolutely freaking awesome. Worked better than I was expecting. Put a 10 mah battery in and sprayed a full pack around my yard. Took about 45 minutes to an hour. Went to charge the battery afterwards and it was still at 100 percent. I double checked with the power bar button and sure enough still had a full charge. Great product. ... show more

  • Good basic sprayer for occasional use.
This is a good, but basic, battery powered backpack sprayer. It comes with 2 4AH batteries, which should be enough for any project - I never had a battery run out while in use. The sprayer comes with a plastic valve and metal wand pieces, plus some basic adjustable spray tips. It all works, though how long the plastic parts will last is still an open issue. At some point I might convert over to a pressure washer style gun like on my other backpack sprayer. The harness is functional and not too uncomfortable, though I'm not sure I'd want to wear it all day. Again, it's not nearly as nice as the harness on my Yard Mastery sprayer, but it's also a lot less expensive. This is a good backpack sprayer for occasional homeowner use; I don't think it would fill the needs of a professional that used it on a daily basis. For the price, I think it's a good value and certainly better than pumping away on a manual sprayer. ... show more

  • Order Electric Instead of a Backpack Manual Pump Sprayer – I Have Been Using a Manual Backpack
FEATURES I LIKE: 1. Definitely order an electric sprayer. I made the mistake a couple years ago and ordered the Amazon’s Choice more expensive MANUAL backpack sprayer. I thought long and hard about electric versus manual and made the wrong choice thinking my infrequent use would cause a manual pump to be more trouble-free than an electric. Even after 2 years of use, I was still regretting the manual. There is a long lever that needs to be pumped just about the entire time you are spraying. That’s because the entire inside of the sprayer is not being pressurized. Just a small cylinder in the tank is being pressurized. The continual pumping uncomfortably rocks the backpack back and forth. This rocking causes the wand in your other hand to not be held steady. Overlapping rows of spray can damage the grass. Iron overspray can permanently stain concrete surfaces. The blue spray pattern indicator dye temporarily stains. 2. There is a comfortable ergonomically positioned carry handle centered on the top center of the backpack for carrying before strapping on your back. 3. The EARTHCRAFT sprayer is very comfortable on the back. The cushioned breathable pad against your back is comfortable and the curved lumbar support is also very comfortable. The straps are padded adequately for comfort. There’s a world of difference between comfort and stability of the EARTHCRAFT to my manual pump sprayer. 4. I really like the on-board storage space with the small orange cap that stores the smaller accessories and spare rubber washers (SEE PICTURES NUMBERED “1” AND “2”). My manual sprayer has no storage. A sprayer is useless if accessories and washers are lost. There is room for all the accessories except for the large “Shower Head”. 5. Another nice thing is that the inside bottom of the sprayer is flat with a couple channels that divert the last remaining fluid into the pump (SEE PICTURE NUMBERED “3”). This lets you spray all the contents and helps when cleaning. 6. I’m left-handed and most items are made for right-handers. So, typically something is awkward for my use. Not so with this sprayer. The sprayer wand, power switch and pump speed control (located on the lower left were all easily accessible with my left hand. There is a flip door to access these controls (SEE PICTURES NUMBERED “4”, “5” AND “6”). 7. The battery compartment is on the lower right (SEE PICTURES NUMBERED “7”, “8” AND “9”). A battery is installed before putting on the backpack. The battery is not going to need to be replaced during one session by a homeowner. I sprayed 5 gallons and the 4 battery charge status LCDs remained illuminated. There is a removable sliding door that slides up and off for access. It is more waterproof than the flip door containing the power switch and pump speed control. 8. There is a vertical transparent window with 1 through 18 Liter markings which can be used when diluting concentrates. 9. I like that the small measuring cup is marked from 0.5-3.5 ozs. and 5-100 ml. These are the volumes normally used for surfactant and dye when mixing gallons of chemical. ASSEMBLY: Be sure to install the 4 rubber washers as indicated in the Instruction Manual. Where there are pre-installed O-rings, rubber washers are not needed. On my first assembly, I only added a small amount of diluted chemical so I could test for proper assembly and leaks. OPERATION: 1. I only needed to slightly turn up the speed control to attain the spray pattern strength desired. I only used full speed when cleaning. 2. I extend the spray bar fully, so my sprayer nozzle is far in front of me and relatively close to the ground to prevent spraying myself and overspray at the edges. This helped to minimize overlap of rows. CONS: 1. While there are shoulder belts, there are no waist and chest belts. The backpack fits well enough but I think it would fit more securely if waist and chest belts were included. The lumbar support has slots that could accommodate a waist belt. 2. The charger is a wall wart rather than full-size charger. A red light on the charger is illuminated during charging and green when fully charged. 3. The batteries do not have charge status LED’s. The charge level is monitored by 4 LCDs on the back of the backpack (SEE PICTURE NUMBERED “10”). 4. I wish there was a carrying case to store the 2 batteries, charger, large “Shower Head” and manual when not in use. STORAGE WHEN NOT IN USE: 1. The manual does not list this but all connections where there are rubber washers or O-rings should be loosened during storage. If not, they will eventually become permanently compressed and cause leakage. 2. The handle trigger should also be left in the locked open position during storage to prevent compressing the inner seal when in the closed position. INSTRUCTION MANUAL: The Instruction Manual is complete with pictures and written in grammatically correct English. A QR Messenger code and email address are included for support. WARRANTY: No online warranty registration. Warranty is one year from date of purchase. SUMMARY: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this EARTHCRAFT electric sprayer over my manual pump backpack sprayer I have been using the past couple years. ... show more
