My garden has started to expand over the years, taking up the perimeter or my yard. Because of my inground pool and underground pipes, etc., I can't really install a better watering system, so I have been using watering cans and hand sprayers. Needless to say, it's cumbersome. This backpack sprayer is very light itself, before adding water, of course. It is a little on the flimsy side; the plastic material it is comprised of reminds me of cheap $2 watering cans I purchased for my kids when they were little. The spray pressure would leave a lot to be desired if I was using it for anything other than daily light watering and misting my plants, but since that is exactly what I need it for, it's perfect for me. I cover about 1/4 acre before the battery starts getting low. It charges quickly, so the battery is ready the next day with no issue. In terms of comfort, the straps are adjustable to fit and are okay- nothing spectacular. When it is full, it is a bit heavy but I'm pretty tall and strong so it's more like a light workout. For someone short, this might be harder to manage because you'll be extra top heavy. For me, the price is decent. If this one broke after a few years, I would likely purchase again because it has reduced my time in the garden by about half.

The sprayer did everything I expected and more. I have a regular size lawn and applying weed killer or pest defense has been ridiculously slower and painful with the default sprayer using AA battery that comes with the container. Now with this unit I can stand straight, walk at regular speed, cover the whole lawn with no more than 10 minutes and don't feel tired at all. The battery last forever, the spray has infinite pattern with different nozzle, the whole box feels comfortable on the back. Very happy!

We were looking for a multipurpose sprayer for both our garden and treating areas of our back property (including tackling kudzu and general weed control), and this unit checked a lot of boxes on paper. First thing to note; this sprayer is big. The 5.3-gallon capacity is more than enough to handle most jobs without needing frequent refills, which is a huge plus for larger areas. If you specifically need that kind of volume, it definitely delivers. Performance-wise, it’s been good, but not exceptional. It gets the job done and is a clear upgrade over a manual hand pump sprayer. The battery life is solid and typically lasts long enough to finish what we’re working on without needing a recharge mid-task. As for power, I’d describe it as adequate rather than impressive. It provides a steady, consistent stream, but it’s not especially strong or high-pressure compared to some higher-end options. It works fine for fertilizing and general weed control, just don’t expect anything heavy-duty. Overall, it’s a decent value, especially for the size. That said, there are more established brands out there that may offer better performance. If you can get by with a smaller tank (around 3–3.5 gallons) at a similar price point, that might be the better long-term choice. But if you specifically need a 5-gallon sprayer, this one does the job and is worth considering.

Works well, even pressure for consistency and love the 3 head all metal sprayer and extending wand. Comes with many other metal and plastic spray heads also. Only wish it came with a 2nd battery but 1 is enough for average yards.

This review is for a 5.3 Gallon Battery-Powered Backpack Sprayer. I’ve had a couple of sprayers, but they were never big enough, so when I saw this one was 5.3 gallons I scooped it up. The next bonus is the rechargeable 21V 2.6Ah battery, it lasts about 3 to 4 hours depending on the pressure I choose and the nozzle, and it’s interchangeable with Makita batteries. It also has built-in low voltage protection with a digital display, so I can monitor the remaining charge. It automatically shuts off below 14V to help protect the battery, which is great because hubby has worked through other batteries. The telescopic wand extends to about 39.3 inches, which is nice because I’m petite and it helps me to get under my deck. For the most part I like this sprayer, it's easy to use, and I know I said that I was looking for a bigger one I just didn’t realize how heavy it would be. If I load it, we’re looking at about 46 pounds, which is on the heavier side for my 4’11” frame, luck for me my 6’3” husband said he’s ready for the challenge. It’s great having nozzle options and the pressure could be a bit stronger.
