This is an excellent, stylish, battery hold-down bracket, and although it fits my 2008 4Runner, it was a little too long on one end (and may have bumped the hood) so I cut mine down a bit. Please see my photos of how much I cut off for my setup, and the final product, which I am very satisfied with. You can likely use a sawzall (like I did), or some sort of wire snips to trim the metal down. (Pro tip: Put your fastener fittings and bolts onto it BEFORE you make your cut, in case the threads are damaged when you cut and you can't get them on later.) (one final tip: I put a regular bolt on the back and a wing nut on the front so that I could loosen the battery with my fingers on the one side (and the other side would stay stable). This is an excellent product and comes with all the types of nuts, bolts, and fittings that you'd need for likely any situation. With slight modification, it works excellently for my vehicle, and is far more stylish than the OEM battery cover.

After a battery replacement at a local auto shop, the hold down hook was accidentally lost. Rather than deal with another weak factory setup, I purchased this kit and it turned out to be a major upgrade. The hardware is well designed, with wing nuts and rubber grommets that make installation simple and secure. Once tightened, the battery felt far more stable than the original setup. The included rods are longer than needed, but they are easy to trim with a basic cutting tool, and the kit even includes protective caps for the ends. For the price, this is an excellent value and a noticeable improvement over OEM components. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable battery hold down solution.

Works fine, but the black paint is VERY cheap. Half of it rubbed off within a week. Also, not a knock on it but FYI: If you have a battery with cell caps, it may not fit between them. It didn't fit between them on the Group 27F wet-cell battery I had in my truck. Put in a Group 24F AGM, and it works perfectly.

This is a very well designed bracket. I love the way it is built. It does it's job to hold the battery into position. It's not going to take a massive amount of pressure to smash the battery. So don't get carried away. You can see the middle start to slightly bow up, when you start to crank it down. Find the happy spot of torque and stability

Bought a new battery and switched to AGM with a flat top. This universal kit came in clutch to replace the factory hold down. Packaged very well, all parts were separated, and the hold down plate has a nice finish and is durable. Installation is really dependent on your vehicle and battery location. I installed this on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. One of the hooks is a bit too long, but I just need to cut it off at some point. Other than that, this is a good product and glad I went with it.
