I need an athletic fit in my thighs. These feel just like my golf pants I wear to work. Soft and silky. Plenty of stretch and looseness in the crotch. I'm 6'4. These hit about an inch below my knee while standing, and rise to a perfect spot just above knee when sitting.

The colors are Poppy, I just washed them and they pretty much held true, I was hoping they would have shrunk a little. They do run longer than I thought they would, they go below my knee unless I pull them up really higher than normal, but I don't think this will be a problem because they will likely shrink some over the next few washes, they have tons of pockets, and just be aware they are classified as fishing trousers I can see why with all these pockets. The fabric is very sturdy and they are not cheaply made, they feel like they're made from quality material, I do love the elastic band around the waist, it gives you some freedom, and that's why I would recommend going a size down, for reference I'm 6'1 220 lb. They're pretty nice, I intend to keep them.

Do you prefer shorts that come to or slightly past the knee instead of far above it? Do you have a hard time finding shorts that fit legs that aren't skinny little pencils? Well then you might love these like I do! My husband doesn't fish at all. He has had 2 identicle pairs of his fav workout shorts from circa 1990 that finally died (i could no longer repair them on my sewing machine), so the search for the perfect replacement shorts was dire. It has take me months to find him shorts that he could wear working out in that were comfortable (deadlifts, squats, etc) and didn't look stupid on him. I literally bought about 8 pairs from different companies on here (even Fox) and these were the best!! My husband has muscular legs and I'm sorry but shorts these days are not made for men with any form of muscle. Not only were these shorts the perfect length (he is 5' 10") the fit is relaxed enough that he can move around without them bunching up, but aren't so baggy that he looks like he's stuck in the 90's either. Material is also great, breathable, and has a slight stretch which he's loving. Pockets are a plus. I wish these came in more colors like navy, charcoal grey, or something other than all the random camo colors (blue camo really? That's a chick comb imo). Also my hubby is always complaining about his love handles getting big etc, yet, these shorts fit perfectly. So whomever said they run small perhaps needs to take a closer look at their intake vs output. The sizing is not small at all
