I got this for my boys who seem to always wanna play basketball but we live in an area that gets very cold in the winter and then also very hot in the summer and some days are over 110° so I was thinking I wanted something that they could have inside where they could still play. This is the best item for that because it’s almost like having a little arcade but because it hangs on a door, it really doesn’t take up much space and you can fold the basket down which is really nice so that you can keep the door open and closed it when you turn it it is loud and it doesn’t really let you just turn it on and shoot hoops and count the hoops that you’re playing unless I’m reading the directions wrong when you turn it on there’s multiple different games that you can play which is cool too because then it turns into a competition so it’s honestly honestly it’s really nice and it’s kind of great for all ages cause even my daughter who’s one is playing with it and then I have a four-year-old and a six-year-old and they all love it and my husband and I play with it with my six-year-old and it’s it’s turning into something that we do pretty much every night night

Sturdy little over-the-door basketball hoop that mimics arcade-style basketball. Players can select from a couple of different game modes, but we haven't got past the 'how many baskets can you make in 60 seconds' mode. There is a sensor on the hoop that autodetects each basket and tracks the cumulative score. Game mode and lighting can all be changed by remote control, and the scoring mechanism works as advertised. The backboard is made of thick plexiglas with a metal hoop, nylon net, and a few plastic/foam features. Assembly is kind of a pain - the instructions are useless and a few of the steps are counterintuitive, but I had it all together in around 10 minutes. Two notes: (1) the hoop is nowhere near as big as the photoshopped images in the picture make it look. It's less than half the size of a regulation hoop. (2) *every* time you score there's a female voice that says 'great'. If you're a good shooter this will get really old really quick. But overall it's a great way to scratch the itch when you can't get out to the arcade. Works as advertised and better built than I would have expected for the price.

Ordered this to bring the outside in so my niece's son could drive her a little more crazy, and so far so good! It's installed on the front of the door right now and doesn't seem to interfere with closing it. He's 6 and wanted to put it together so we gave him a shot, but he eventually needed some help. The assembly was easy, though, and the instructions are pretty good. He really likes that it has extra balls for when more than one person is playing, or one is misplaced. The board also looks great, and the scoreboard function is a neat addition if not completely consistent (sometimes double counts, sometimes doesn't count). Great toy!

This indoor backetball hoop comes nicely packaged in an attractive box and would work as a great gift! I was impressed with the quality! There is some assembly required and the directions don't state this, but take the sticky clear film off the backboard before assembling (I didn't realize this film was there and had to undo what I assembled to get it off.) There are several game options to play and the backboard can be changed to different colors. It keeps score for you and verbalizes "great!" when you score a basket. My kids love playing with this! The basket balls are made of a softer rubbery material compared to real basketballs. They have bumps on the surface which give them some texture and grip. They have more bounce to them the more they are inflated, which then makes it more challenging to get a basket. So I recommend not over inflating the balls. (Pump is included which is nice!) Overall this is a great indoor basketball set and better quality compared to others I've had previous experience with!

My kids were super excited when we received this basketball hoop. It looks cool, it’s flashy with all the colors and sounds and it fit perfectly on the back of the bedroom door. We played a few games the first day without any issues. Within the first week of using it, it would randomly start glitching mid game and shut off. I thought maybe the batteries were being knocked loose or something… I took out the batteries and replaced them and checked for anything visibly loose, but couldn’t find anything. Now almost every time we play, the thing turns off mid-game. So, at this point, we mainly use it to shoot around without turning it on. I unfortunately would not recommend this basketball hoop based on my poor experience.
