The Overview: The hiccapop 53” PlayPod has been a lifesaver for providing a safe play area for my 11-month-old, whether at home or on the go. Its design caters to both indoor and outdoor use, although we've mostly used it indoors so far. The Good: Ease of Cleaning: Love how easy it is to clean; the fabric goes straight into the washer and dryer, making maintenance a breeze. Portability: Unfolding and moving this playpen is incredibly straightforward, making it perfect for travel or quick setups in different locations. Size and Space: I opted for the larger size to ensure there was enough room for my baby to practice crawling, and it's proven to be spacious enough for him to move around freely. Visibility: The see-through material is excellent; my baby can see me while playing, which helps in keeping him calm and engaged, reducing the chances of him crying. Canopy Potential: Although we haven't used the canopy yet, I can see it being a fantastic feature for outdoor activities like beach days or park visits. The Not-So-Good: Padding: The padding on the bottom is just okay. To enhance comfort, I added an extra mat, which has worked well. Height: The height might be a tad too tall for my baby to practice standing right now, but I anticipate this will become less of an issue as he grows taller. Minor Assembly Issue: There was a small incident where a few stitches came undone during assembly, but a quick fix with a needle and thread resolved it without further issues. This is actually our second Hiccapop playpen — we also own the larger 69" version that we purchased after our first child was born. We got the 53" model more recently to have a second playpen for our younger child (now 2 years old). Both have received the standard rough toddler treatment, and the original 69" is still going strong with our almost 4-year-old! Last month, the 53" playpen developed a tear along one of the seams. Honestly, it had held up great, so we figured we had gotten our money’s worth — but since the other one was still in perfect shape, I decided to reach out to Hiccapop’s customer service. They responded quickly, asked for a picture of the tear and a copy of my Amazon order, and within a few days I had a replacement at my door. Super easy. The new one even has what looks like an improved buckle for the zipper closure, which is a nice touch. We’ve traveled with both playpens and use them daily at home. Overall, I highly recommend this brand — great product, great customer service, and perfect for parents who need something sturdy and easy to use.

You will not find a better product for the price. Easy set up and tear down. Decent padding on the bottom. The only thing that I’m not sure of is whether the dome is UPF50+ like many of the other competitors. It wasn’t stated anywhere, however we are very happy with the product and feel it was money well spent.

My two year old is 30 lbs and 3 feet tall. It's a struggle finding play yards or tents that are tall enough to safely keep him contained when we need to do other tasks. This is the only play yard we found that's 30 inches tall, instead of the usual 24-27 inches of other play yards. My son has enough room to move around and play, and it's super easy to set up. Even the dome tent is a breeze to set up and take down. We use this in our room when my son wakes up really early and he wants to be with us, but we want to keep dozing lol we know he's safe and can happily watch TV in our room while we get some more sleep. It's also very easy to travel with for beach days, park days, whatever! Highly recommend this. Even my ten year old likes to climb into it and turn it into a cozy reading area, and she's 4 foot 7! Great purchase all around 😊

This has been a great play area for my child this summer. We love being outdoors and it has been awesome to have him in this play structure while we sit nearby and not worry about him crawling away. I do wish it had some netting on the top part, but overall it has kept the bugs away. Super easy to set up and take down-5 min each max. I would definitely recommend this to others.

I was so impressed with how nice and high quality this was. It was very simple to set up, I didn’t even need the instructions. I love that you can set it with or without the tent canopy on top. The bottom mat can come off and is washable which is so great if you have messy kids. We will definitely be using this all summer at the beach and camping. I would recommend for every mom with a baby!
