I remember having one as a kid. Granted it was like a big bulky computer then, but so cool and fun. Our older kids played with them, 21 and 18 now but our 11 year didnt have one. PARENT FAIL LOL so after seeing it at peter piper we looked and Amazon had a great price with next day delivery! I think our son, my husband and myself are all hooked! Lol great for kids of all ages and adults! Needed 3 AA batteries and he was going! Already making pictures or patterns on his own, as well as the easy to use holiday patterns that come with it. A carry bag for the pegs and a little kick stand if you put it on the table. Very low price for a very creative kid activity. Easy to use. The pictures come out looking so cool and creative. My daughter loves to create the images it comes with but you can create many different things. Keeps my kids entertained for hours. Minimal storage space.

I really enjoyed playing this when I was a child and I was so excited to find that they had these today.The only downside is that i can't plug it in. It runs by battery and every few minutes it shuts off.

I was excited to pick this Lite Brite up for my 4 yr old grandson for Christmas well after I got it home I absolutely had to check it out. Without saying my age I had one when they first came out with the light bulb I loved mine and my daughter even had fun with mine at my parents house. So I started to play with it what a fun time I had a blast from my childhood. There are similarities to the original the size is smaller and the paper is better quality than the original you had the lift the front screen to put the papers on then line it up it was a pain next the pegs are pretty much the same except mine had points on them and I had red and purple. I had so much fun that I am keeping this one and purchased another one on a Black Friday sale. My grandson will absolutely love this toy just like mom and grandma. ... show more

Got this for my grandson, who just turned 8 years old. Out of all of the cool stuff he got from Santa this year, this one particular gift was his favorite! He made a note for Santa that he left under the tree with the lights in the blinking mode. So cute!

Santa brought this toy to my son this year, and he was excited to get to work on a cute penguin. He was happy with it, but I was immediately distracted by the fact that some pegs were very bright, while entire areas were barely lit at all. Last night, I got out the screwdriver to look under the hood. I saw 6 small LEDs, 4 around the perimeter, two in the middle of the box. There was a piece of card in there, probably to protect the wires from the pegs - I ditched it. My son also got some tracing paper, and I used a sheet of it to fold up and make some tent-like diffusers over the center lights, and put it back together. It is an improvement, but still not great. It makes sense that the manufacturer would use LEDs, unlike the Lite Brite I remember as a child, but they should find an inexpensive way to make the light more diffuse and scattered in the box, and not so direct to the eyes. ... show more
