After reading previous reviews about sealing problems, I still risked ordering this Wine Set hoping for the best. RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX: The aerator seems to work fine, but BARVIVO's claim that your wine will taste "3x better". Hmm. Sounds a bit overstated to me, but time and experience will tell. I too was disappointed that the stoppers did not seal, barely any resistance between the two sealing rings and the bottle opening. Therefore, the vacuum pump is also useless without stoppers that seal. Disappointed on day one with this product. An enclosed card states that problems will be addressed within 48 hours by reaching out to support@barvivo.com. I just wrote them, so let's see how they respond. To be continued... RESPONSE FROM BARVINO: Thank you very much for getting in touch with us, appreciated. I'm sorry to hear that the stoppers are too loose for your bottles. However, they should be able to fit most 25 oz bottles. Unfortunately, we only have one size for our stoppers. This is totally giftable!!!! I LOVE this set. I think the aerator might need a little more work but the stoppers and pump make up for it. Maybe a glass aerator would be nicer? Who knows? That would make it unaffordable, I would guess. Aerator didn't affect taste of the wine as I thought it should for the Pinot. I still had to let it sit for a good bit and naturally aerate but what a surprise, 2 days later. Wine was fabululous after using the pump and stoppers. After that, I still had 1/3 bottle left so I pumped and refrigerated again. Guess what, the next day, wine was still fantastic. I'm not kidding. Granted. it was a great bottle of Pino to begin with but usually my reds taste like bitter vinegar 4 days after opening. I normally use for cooking! With Barvivo, I can drink and enjoy my wine for several days. As for the giftability of this set, they hit it out of the park! The packaging is amazing. It makes an impressive gift for the money. I love the artwork on the box and instruction guide. It speaks class, imho. The set is the perfect size to fit in my side table drawer, with everything in its place. I can imagine the sturdy packaging will last a long, long time. I appreciate the thought that went into it! Thanks, so much Barvivo for a wonderful product! Suggestion, check with Corning Glass in NY. They might be able to help you with a glass aerator, just for fun. Corning is just south of the Finger Lake Wine Country of NY. ... show more

This is the second brand of wine recorkers and pump set I have bought. The first was a cheap one I have had for several years from a liquor store. I thought that set was great but after using the Barvivo I am so excited I chose this when I decided needed more than one recorker for my bottles on the rare occasion have more than one bottle open. The pump is easy to use and is obvious when all the air is out. The aerator was a bonus to be included and I have long planned to get one so it was convenient that it is included in the set. After using it I am very pleased. Super easy to put in your bottle and my glass of wine was perfect. The styling of the components is classy and sleek; perfect if your bottle is out on the counter. The extra parts will come in handy in the future and lastly the durable and stylish box to store parts in is very nice. I haven’t prioritized writing a review or one this lengthy in a long time - so that's a sign of how much I love this product. Enjoy! ... show more

I was unsure whether an aerator would make a difference in taste, so I tried this, and yes, it does! I knew that the vacuum would be worth having, but having tried the aerator now, I'm so happy I bought this. It's a very reasonable price too.

I bought this set even though I didn't think it would make much difference in the quality of our wine drinking. I WAS WRONG! The stoppers are wonderful! I was skeptical that they would properly seal up an open bottle. Wrong. If you use them correctly, they do indeed seal up the bottles really well and keep your grape juice very fresh! My most pleasant surprise is the aerator. My wife made a claim that aerating the wine improves the flavor. Again I was skeptical and threw the "BULLSHIT" flag. She then challenged me to a taste off. The premise was: I was blindfolded and subjected to a sampling of wines and the same wines that were aerated. I was kept in the dark, pun intended, about which samples were aerated and which weren't. Turns out that I was completely wrong. I will admit it. Now that we are accustomed to using these items, they have become a daily use item. If I were to look there might be a better/more fancy/more expensive set out there. I'm not interested. These perform their functions really well, and have become an indispensable accessory to us!!!
