This product is great for resealing wine that has been already uncorked or repurposing a used wine bottle. I used a prior product that involved reusing the existing cork, which was very time consuming and overly difficult. The included corks are so much easier and much quicker. You get lots of cork seals with this too, which is nice, incase you mess up. The seals are pretty standard and professional looking. The package does not come with instructions, so here is what I did. Make sure the original wine cork is removed. Once you are ready to reseal, that’s when the fun begins. The new corks still require effort to push all the way down into the bottle, however it’s a lot less effort than my old way of forcing the original cork back in. To apply the seal, put it all the way on top of the cork and covering the top of the bottle. Heat up a tall glass or pot of water until it’s at boiling point, and make sure there is enough room to submerge the whole seal. The seal should shrink-wrap onto the bottle very cleanly. I left in for 10 seconds and the seal looked smooth with no ridges or creases. You’d have to look closely (or be a big wine snob) to see it’s not the original seal. The shape is different than a usual cork seal, since the corks in the kit have a black circular piece on top. But from far away, it’s really hard to tell. ... show more

Very easy to use. The kit does not come with any directions but you basically put the cork topper in, put the cork sleeve on top and use the hot setting on your blow dryer to shrink the cork sleeve. Very easy and looks like a brand new bottle

    • Easy to Re-Cork a Bottle
I have a couple of fancy stoppers that make the wine bottle to tall to fit in the door of the fridge. I wasn’t sure how these would work for re-corking because it’s not cone-shaped like the others I have, and I thought it would be a struggle to re-cork. But these simple, low-profile corks fit perfectly. It’s easy to push them into the bottle, and on that rare occasion when I have wine left in a bottle, it fits neatly in the door of my fridge for storage. ... show more
