    • They leak
I love the concept, and love the Coravin tool, but these leak at the threads. I've tried 2 different screw tops, just in case one was defective, but they both did the same thing. You apparently cannot store these horizontally...just upright. I am not pleased with the design.

Coravin has revolutionized wine consumption with that greatly improved ability to manage consumption of cork sealed wine. Screw tops posed a dilemma particularly as Sauvignon Blanc producers and numerous non-USA producers of various vintages have moved to Screw Top Caps. Coravin's replacement cap is an excellent solution which we have even used on non-alcoholic bottles for family and friends. Each top is reusable for up to 50 punctures, so keeping a tally of uses is a good idea.     • nonsense - sadly doesn't work
ok, I love wine. I have so many cool toys for my wine. I love my isommelier decanter, I love my ullo sulfite filter +aerator, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Coravin the most of all. the Coravin is an incredible invention - but there are three cases where it just doesn't work - I'm sorry: Sparking/Fizzy wine (duh), Synthetic Corks, and I'm sorry to tell you: screw caps. Don't get me wrong, its better than NOTHING - but, there's a fatal flaw, and there's simply nothing Coravin can do about it: you have to OPEN the original cap to put this. when you go that, air gets in. yes, its true, its not VERY much, and the argon does settle over it. but theres NO WAY your wine will keep with this the same amount of time it would with a healthy cork that reseals. its better than nothing for a screw cap wine, but you need to still drink it within a few days. don't fool yourself, once you open it, it's opened. all the gas in the world won't change that. but you should still buy a Coravin! and the aerator for it. and the needle set. Edit: ok, 1 star was a little harsh. Like I said itโ€™s not going to be like a real cork in keeping time but it does still work after all, so 3 stars ... show more

    • Nice Accessory for Screw-top Bottles
The first question; does it work? Yes. I've use a couple of them and they work well. No apparent leaking. Easy on and off. Not really sure you need a six-pack of these but I guess if you are running a motorcade of different partially open bottles, maybe you need six. Value for the money? I think these are a little overpriced but we're a captive audience. If you have screw-top bottles, just bite the bullet and spend the money. ... show more

    • These work better than expected
My wife asked me to order these for the many screw top bottles we have. We are very impressed with the Coravin system, but I had my doubts about these. Well, they work very well happy to say! In fact, the needle insets very easily into these reusable tops. We have not tested the wine saved this way long enough to see how they preserve the quality over longer periods of time, but so far so good! The system has changed how we enjoy wine considerably for the better. ... show more
