First, don't kid yourself, this is a 2-person job to assemble. Was able to assemble the bulk of it alone, but you do need help to turn it on it's side to assemble the legs, help to turn it back up right and finally to place it where you want it. It takes a while to assemble, but the instructions are pretty spot on. At first, I was leary of the smaller, non-wood balls, but they are not bad. Definitely feel smaller to hold, but they do have some weight to them, are pretty dense and don't bounce much, so they work well. Scoring is excellent, even tells you how many balls are left in the game which is a plus since it only comes with 4 balls but 10 are used per game. Since they are returned immediately unlike the professional arcade versions that keep the balls until more money is put in, these come back immediately. The game allows for one or two players and has two small cup holders. They can hold a 12 oz can, but nothing larger. Would be nice if the cup holders were bigger. This was the medium priced game, found some around half the price, others at double the price. Agree with other reviews that it was well worth paying more and not getting the cheaper ones. This one is very good quality, solid if you assemble according to directions. Can't imagine what paying double we get as this a quality machine for home use. Posted is a photo of it in our arcade room area after it was assembled and before we moved it against the wall. We recently refinished the basement, so waiting on the other arcade video games to return from storage and getting ready to replace the windows, will post and updated photo when they come back and the arcade room is completed. ... show more

Product is great, but shipping was horrible! The drop shipping company, NSD, left the box, which weighs over 200 lbs, directly on my doorstep! Instead of the other 3,000 square feet of pavement, they put it directly where I couldn’t even get in or out of the door. Additionally, there was no call, text, or notification that they would be delivering, and the email messages (sent from Amazon) indicates they would deliver a day later! When I contacted the shipping company to complain, the representative didn’t speak very good English, and put put name me on hold for over 30 minutes. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AS LONG AS NSD IS SHIPPING IT!! The product itself is awesome. It took about 2 hours to assemble per the well-written directions, and the pieces are all nicely numbered with stickers (that remove and don’t leave marks). Be sure to have an open area to work, as there are steps that require you to assemble large pieces and then move on to other portions, only to join them together later. Ease of instructions and assembly was very good. For those that need more balls (it comes with 4), you can go on the MD Sports website and order 4 additional (or more) for $14.95 + tax per set. We thought of using lacrosse balls (same diameter, but much heavier and harder), but I think those are too heavy and might damage the roll and score parts.. The operation of the product works great with just one snag: sometimes the balls will get lodged into the upper section of the ball return incline. In this case, we just walk over and “tap” the back panel and it allows them to dislodge. Perhaps a heavier ball would discourage this from happening, but then it might also break the points sensors (which are plastic). Overall, MD Sports (Barrington) has created a great, thoughtful product. It would have been five stars, but the shipping experience (horrific) will forever be in my mind and associated with this product. ... show more

Very nice looking. Very sturdy. If you’re expecting the same machine you are used to in an arcade...this is not for you. It’s just fine for at home use. The balls are very light weight. I recommend using the balls it comes with rather than buying a heavy set. The scoring sensor arms are plastic. They would break if you bought the wooden balls we grew up playing with. This machine is probably 20-25% smaller than the arcade versions. It’s by no means easier. The scoring is good and accurate. But scoring above 20 on a roll is difficult and should be given the smaller size. The speaker is LOUD and volume cannot lowered or muted. You may want to place cloth or tape over some or all of the compact speaker. Save yourself time by having another adult around to help with assembly. Because of good quality, this game is very heavy. I found it easiest to open the box on my porch and bring in, lay out and organize pieces a few at a time. Following directions provided worked just fine for me. I have had no difficulties with the lights or the scoring like some other reviewers have. Maybe I just got lucky? I’m happy with this product. My 5 year old and I play often. He uses a small step stool and does just fine. My family parties are all at my home and everyone is super excited to come and play on this new machine. I was extremely excited to get the 130” Skee ball after reading the reviews. I have to say I’m disappointed on the quality, I was expecting something much similar to an arcade quality. Not at all!! The balls are much smaller & lighter, height is taller, and very loud! Says you can turn the volume off but it doesn’t. Will be fine for grandkids but not really adult quality. Shouldn’t have wasted my money on it. Took about 3 hours to put together, did most myself (52 yr old) needed help lifting and moving it but was pretty straight forward. Will up date after family has had a chance to play. ... show more
