Awesome lights! 5000k looks perfect. I love the fact that they are diffused and give a nice soft, but bright glow. Very light weight and easy to hang up. Use a laser level to ensure theyre on square, it'll make your life much easier.

These lights are outstanding. I ordered them to put into the basement of my home built around 1900. The entire basement is the footprint of a two-story old farmhouse, but there are only 460 W lightbulbs covering the whole basement. Initially, I had used screw in LED style spotlight things that are pretty popular in big box stores right now. Unfortunately they don't have a very low profile and the basement ceilings are very low. Before long that resulted in one of the lights being accidentally bumped and snapped off in the socket. I purchased a six pack of 4 foot Barrina shop lights. I was excited by the potential cost and the daylight feature, as well as the ability to connect them together and either hardwire them or plug them in. They arrived very quickly in a very small, but adequate package. I removed them and had the first two mounted within 20 minutes. It would've taken significantly less time if the included screws had not been junk. They were very short, which is fine because the lights are in incredibly lightweight and could probably actually be stuck up with command strips or Velcro with no problems. But the heads of the screws were very soft and the depth of the slot for the Phillips screwdriver was very shallow. When trying to turn the screws into anything, even into a simple fiberboard ceiling tile, the heads of the screws were stripping out very badly. After about 10 minutes of trying with those screws, I decided to stop, cut my losses, and head to the garage. I found some similar replacement screws that were slightly longer and much sturdier. At that point, I was able to move to my battery powered hand drill instead of not succeeding with a handheld screwdriver. I used my 12 V because it's lightweight for above your head, and turned the torque down. I was able to install all the lights with no serious issues. I did find it confusing that the cords to connect two lights together are incredibly short. The kit comes with several different styles of chords, including the cord that goes from one light to an electrical outlet with a rocker switch in the middle, short chords about 10 to 12 inches for connecting two lights to each other, and chords with open wires on one end to hardwire them to your electrical. You also have the ability to use small plastic adapters to connect to lights end to end with no cord between them, or you can plug a power cord directly into the end of the light and go straight to an outlet. The power cords have sturdy built-in rocker switches to turn the lights on and off. I did a combination of connecting lights and was able to cover half of my basement with more light than absolutely necessary in less than an hour. This included knocking down all the cobwebs from the rafters, finding replacement screws, and even moving around some items or furniture when needed to access the areas I wanted to hang the lights. Not only are the incredibly bright, but the light does not have any strange colored tinge to it, which is especially important to me because they will be over both my home office and my craft/sewing area as well as the area that I intend to do my canning. I live on a farm so I have a sink and an area in the basement for pet bathing and animal care. Spending time in the basement is so much nicer with such bright light. It doesn't feel depressing or dingy, just like an extension of the rest of the house. I'm on a really tight budget and it was great to find something affordable and effective. I am pleased enough to order another set for the other half of the basement. I initially anticipated that these 6 lights would only be bright enough to cover 1/4 of the basement, but they were so bright that I was able to space them out considerably further than I had intended, covering half of the basement and putting lights in an area that I initially didn't think I was going to cover. There are only two things I would change or improve: better quality screws for the installation- purchasers deserve to not be frustrated or disappointed in the quality of the hardware included with the purchase. If someone did not have a selection of items available to substitute, this would be a dealbreaker or a blocker. I found what I needed in the small variety pack that I had purchased from Harbor freight. I would also include longer cords to connect light to light because if you're not putting them end to end, it's likely that you will want to put the lights further than 12 inches apart. These lights are so bright that putting them only 12 inches apart would be overkill and a waste of money and time. This purchase also includes tiny plastic dust caps that snap on the ends of lights that you aren't connecting to keep dust or moisture or anything else out of the Open female adapters on the ends of the lights. I can't comment on lifespan at this time but as long as you don't step hard on the plastic, it's pretty sturdy. It's very lightweight. I don't see any warm-up time or any flickering and any of the six lights I've purchased in this set. None of them are hardwired at this time, and they are all connected with either chords between them or the cord directly to the outlet. It's very helpful because I have many outlets mounted in the ceiling rafters in the basement.

These lights fit right inside of my old fluorescent light fixtures. My husband took out the fluorescent bulbs, hung the new lights and used the existing power to the old lights, covered them back up and they work great.

They don’t fit. Missing adapters.

The pieces don’t fit. I’m trying to connect these to my existing light switch in my garage. However… the hard wire piece is female and connects to the male side of the light… (one side is male, one side is female.) which isn’t a problem until you realize the wires to connect the individual lights together is also female, which cannot connect to the female side of the light. Common sense. And what appears to be adapters aren’t actually adapters, they’re just “extenders” (still female-male, which doesn’t solve any problems). There’s no way for me to hardwire one light and connect the rest of them to the one I hardwired. Ridiculous. Cheap build, they clearly didn’t care or think anything through. 👍🏻
