I tried these with maybe a little less trepidation than I should have, mostly because I have had good luck with 3M Command products in the past. I read the other reviews that mentioned a problem with adhesion and the recommendations of supplementing with Gorilla tape. I am here to sadly report that, even with the supplemental Gorilla tape, these do not provide adequate adhesion to hang your typical 6 inch plate for more than 48 hours. We probably ought to have given up and taken down all the plates when the first one fell and thankfully did not break. However, a second one has shattered, and now I await an order of good old-fashioned wire plate hangers. This gets filed under "a good idea that unfortunately does not work at all". Used to hang several plates, unfortunately the heaviest one (not unusually heavy) fell and broke. I let adhesion sit for 2 or 3 days before hanging and it still fell. I still recommend, the remaining plates are hanging beautifully. Using these is much more aesthetically pleasing than the metal plate hangers. ... show more

We use them to hang up small decorative plates. They have worked well so far (3 months). For a bigger plate I supported the hanger with some Duck tape (of course). Over all they do their job.

I hung 5” plates…exactly as instructed. 2 feel off the wall (the adhesive came unstuck) and shattered my plates. DO NOT HANG ANYTHING CERAMIC, GLASS. CHINA! Only cardboard is light enough. So disappointed!

I’m satisfied with the purchase. I was looking for something else originally to hang these glass plates, But I came across these and for the price I can’t complain. They have a pretty good hold on the glass I’m confident the stickiness on the back will hold
