Not too long ago I got into hydroponic growing with a small vegetable setup. I have been spending a lot of time trying out different ideas, build layouts, etc through the process. Included in that is time finding just the right lighting. I've been unhappy with most of the lights out there that don't cost a fortune. I'm growing various salad greens, bell peppers, strawberries and herbs mostly. I read a comment somewhere online about these lights and that they were good lights at a great price. So I gave them a shot next. Pros: - They are very bright lights, with a clean daylight balanced color to them. - They are actually 3ft long (well, the 3ft version is anyways), others are measured much shorter I've found than what they claim. - They link together easily using the included daisy-chain cords. - They come with directional shields to help focus the light spill. - They are lightweight and have multiple mounting options included. Cons: - They only come with 3 cords to plug them directly into the wall with, so there's no way to use all 6 independently. You will always need to have 2 daisy chained with one outlet plug. - The power cords are very short and the switch is in the center of it in an awkward place (pick and end!). - They aren't adjustable power. I knew that going in, but now I can't help but think how cool it would be if they were. Probably never at this price point. All in all, honestly I couldn't be happier. I bought a wire bakers rack (36" wide X 14" deep X 54" tall). Mounted two lights to each shelf area and used a single slide on shield on the front side light leaving the others open. Wrapped all sides of the shelves with a mylar blanket, threw in a fan with some Kratky style bins of veggies and I'm off! I'll be using these on my next larger area build out when I can get to it.

This set of six LED grow lights were purchased for use with a large Amazon Basics wire shelf. They have been up for over a month and are working perfectly. They were easy to assemble and install. We used separately purchased clip hooks, but the set comes with several mounting hardware options which would have worked. The lights come with reflectors and switches. Our native plant seedlings and cuttings are growing very well under these lights and yields have increased dramatically compared to our previous "shade tree" setup. We highly recommend these lights and would buy them again.

I bought them primarily for my succulents and carnivorous plants. They are doing great under these lights as well as many other plants. They give off a little heat but they are not hot. Light weight enough to hang them using command hooks so I don’t have to drill holes into my ceiling.

These lights are absolutely perfect for growing microgreens on a 4 foot baker's rack. I have a grow tent with two 4' racks and 5 shelves each, so I needed a total of 20 lights (10 per shelf). I ended up ordering like 3 6-packs of these lights and each one has been worth every penny. These lights are very bright, although as others have said you won't get the advertised PAR unless you use the reflectors. Speaking of the reflectors I've seen other commenters saying they have difficulty installing them. If you're putting the reflectors in and they're stuck, stop and start over because you're probably doing it wrong. I've assembled over 40 of these lights in various lengths and I have not had a single issue with any of the reflectors. Sometimes they get a bit stuck becuase they aren't 100% aligned when you start pushing them in, if that happens just take it back out and start over, or try to insert it from the other end. The reflectors all fit from both sides. As for energy consumption, these lights are exactly as advertised. I used my Kill-A-Watt to measure the power consumption per bulb and to my surprise it was actually HIGHER than listed on the sticker. I measured each light at about 48 watts but the sticker says 42. The PAR readings were very even too, the lighting is nice and consistent across the whole shelf If I decide to go larger with my microgreen grow, I will definitely be picking up another set of these lights when they go on sale. I might even pick up a set for the garage and use them as an extra bright shop light lol
