I love Barrina lights as my plants thrive so well under them. The stand was easy to assemble and didn’t take very long at all. I appreciate that each shelf has its own light and with the lights, it’s adaptable so I could add more if I wanted to. There are three options for hanging the lights clips, zip ties, or chains. The plant stand feels pretty sturdy and I like that it has wheels on it so I can easily move it when needed. This plant stand provides lots of options for adjusting the shelves to your liking. The only thing I wish they would change is the color of the cords. My other Barrina plant stand has black cords which easy blend in with the rack. This one has white cords and they are very obvious against the black. Not a huge issue, just a small detail. Overall I haven’t had any issues with this stand or the lights. With the lights, there are two settings, but not an obvious button to change those settings. You just have to turn the lights off and back on to change the hue of the lights each time.

This plant stand is excellent. We started many plants from seed that we would not have been able to find as plants in the nursery. It is best to have two people for some of the assembly. Instructions were clear enough and assembly was not difficult. Stand seems sturdy. If you are using all of the shelves, there is not space for the seedlings to get more than about five inches tall. This is not a defect, just something people need to plan for. I have not tried to adjust the spacing on an assembled stand, might not be easy.

Love this greenhouse, so I bought a 2nd one. However, I do not love the auto timer, it is not user friendly and finally got it to work after hours and days of frustration only to have it not work when I needed to change the time. Customer service did offer to send me a replacement timer or a discount, which I opted for a replacement timer, however, if it is the same timer, which I assume it will be, I hate that part of this unit, but hopefully I can get the replacement to work. Also I only used 4 of the 6 shelves, on each unit, because my plants are very tall, so I wanted to buy just the poles and a greenhouse cover and the company could not do that, so now I have 4 unused, useless shelves laying around. Why can't I buy replacement parts??

although a great idea the lights leave little to be desired. They need to be 1" above the seedlings which doesn't allow for any light angular to the sides. Even two lights per shelf is only effective for young seedlings and doesn't allow for growth. Given only 5 lights are included this greatly reduces the amount of seedlings you can grow. Also, I received two different kind of lights, 3 with a whiter light and the other two with a slight golden hue. The chains and clasps are hard to work with and it doesnt work well for adjusting height. All in all, it's a decent shelf but does not have the lighting to support it in it's full potential. This needs at least 15 of these types of lights. Next year I will build my own with stronger professional lights. Edit: The timer is pure garbage. It has three hour length settings and can not be set for time of day. The power goes out and I need to wake at 6 am to set it again so it will go off for 14 hours at 8 pm. I have other timers but because of the crappy, thoughtless design I can not use in conjunction with separate timers. Believe these reviews when you read them and you'll save $160 unlike me.

EDIT: Customer service reached out and offered me a full refund, and I was able to keep the product. I do appreciate their effort to make it right! I really wanted to like this because I’ve had a pretty good experience with the other Barrina products I've purchased but everything about this stand is pretty awful. First, the shelves: The wires are bent and warped on every shelf, on some shelves in multiple places. When I contacted customer service about this, they said Amazon must have damaged them during shipping and to use a hammer to straighten them back out. Putting aside the hammer comment which is pretty ludicrous advice for a $230 product, the damage is on the interior of the shelves (which were packaged quite well), and not the edges or outer rims where you’d expect to see shipping damage. So it seems highly likely that they were junk to begin with. Installation: It's impossible to get the shelves installed level because you have to hammer them over these clips, and there’s no way to ensure that they are hammered over each clip to the same degree. Spoiler alert: There’s a lot of hammering involved in this set up. Lights: It’s very challenging to wire the lights as they have these huge rubber gaskets on the ends which require excessive force to get the cords over and makes it very hard to have a secure connection. And one of the lights doesn't even work at all. Timer plug: You can’t use this with a smart plug which is a major shortcoming. If the lights are already on, the smart plug will turn them off, but when the smart plug goes on again, you still have to press the power button on the cord to turn on the lights. Bottom line: I thought I could save some money by getting this instead of converting another IKEA cabinet into a greenhouse, but it was a terrible idea and I'm going to have to take this whole thing apart, re-package it, and return it…and then go back to IKEA anyway. Do not waste your time. (Customer Service did offer me a $15 discount to keep it.)

My wife had an array of plants which were crowded on tables around the window. She just ran out of surface area. We set this up and distributed the plants. The lights give the plants better lighting than they had by the window, too.
