If you are like me and going through many different options on grow lights, this is where you want to end that search. I held off for a few months to write this review because I wanted to grow a plant beneath it, and look at the quality of that plants growth over a period of time. I’d like to start off by saying that I am a legal farmer in my state. I am blown away, frankly. Lights in this price range usually do not have the spectrum or the quality that this light has. It has sufficiently carried me through the grow of a massive autoflowering plant, that has had no lighting issues. I’d expect results like this from an LED at 5x the cost. The driver is holding up well, and I keep a small clip fan blowing on all of my lights just to ensure a longer life, but other than that it has not needed any maintenance. I would not recommend this for anything smaller than a 3x3 tent, as it is quite powerful even at its highest hanging point. It’s flowering footprint is also quite impressive, and the way the panels bend is a nice touch for people that want that spectrum of light to cover a broader range of plants. I have not found it necessary to bend the panels because the light fills up a 3x3 in a more than adequate manner, for my purposes. Below are some pictures of a DWC (hydroponic) autoflower I’ve grown solely under this light. If you’re wondering what my final take away is… I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this light again. There is nothing better in its price range. When it comes to growing indoors I have been doing it for over 30 years, and I have seen a lot of sales gimmicks used to sell lights. This one is no gimmick in what’s advertised. I have had it for a total of 25 days and have watched these peppers go bonkers with fruit production as well as leaf growth. Currently running at 50% power to allow the plants to fully adjust and a minimal grow environment, no tents or extra fans. The light runs plenty cool, absolutely silent, is easily filling a 3x3 grow space. I actually had to make simple light reflector out of aluminum just to help keep light from blinding us and keep light a little more concentrated on the grow zone. Even with the little reflector every plant in my den a 10x10 area is responding well. Before I purchased this I was a little apprehensive by the lack of ability to to offer veg / fruiting, or a combination of spectrum’s and the lack of UV spectrum. Now that I have used it I can assure you that it’s not necessary for optimal growth. I have managed all of my growth parameters with the intensity setting and light height along with nutrient levels. Good construction, adjustable wings to help with light spread, linkable, adjustable intensity, even spectrum distribution, top of the line hanging and height adjustment, along with great pricing make this light an absolute necessity. I wish I had more equipment to give the scientific results but as an advanced Gardner I can say this is far beyond any expectations I had. Thank you Barrina for an outstanding product, I will definitely be buying more to put in my greenhouse as well as leaving updates to functionality and longevity if needed. I waited a while to review this light. I have it connected to an external timer to turn it on and off. I have it set at about 50% brightness level and it is keeping my jade plant growing in the basement. I like the adjustable side flaps. I didn't have any trouble with the hanging chain/attachment mechanism as some complained about. I followed the instructions and I thought it was nicely adjustable and secure. I may get another one to completely cover my 24 x 48 table. I have my african violets around the edge of the light as it would be too bright for them directly under the light. If I get a second light, I can keep the violets together under their own light at a lower setting. This thing is bright!! ... show more

I was under the impression that the price point was low and that it would be good only for seedlings and veg. I was wrong, I turned it up and cooked my plant. I have since raised the light and lowered the intensity by a 1/3. The seedlings are praying to the light so I’m pretty sure the more mature one is getting light. I chatted with A.I. and was made aware that modern LEDs are just efficient! My advice would be give it a try. It surprised me and I’ve been growing for awhile. I have had a few lights over the years, all budget lights. At current I have (3) spider farmer, (2) Vipar Spectra and then this one. I've had others, but these are the ones I use because they work well. Upon opening this advertised 200W light, you can see directly on the power supply the max is 180W at full voltage. So either the power supply is under-rated, or the seller is over rating the light. Both are bad news especially for the price. The light "flickers" at anything under 40%, which is also a bad sign for quality and design. Yes, the way it's designed is great to be able to adjust the light to different angles, but the manufacturer just dropped the ball on this. It could easily be a great product. Using a light meter I tested this compared to a 100W spider farmer light as well as the 240W Vipar Spectra. The PPFD readings confirm how much light the plant would receive at X distance. What I don't see is in what spectrum, but that is neither here or there because of it's poor performance out of the box. (1) 240W Vipar spectra could do the job of 3 of these barrina lights. It's comparable to the Spider farmer light in terms of output. I sent it back, It's not worth it. For $20 more I can have 3X the PPFD with a name brand power supply and LED lights. I eyed this one for months due to it's design and positive reviews, if you are not technical about it at all yes it works, but for the value, it's very poor compared to many other offerings in the same price range. ... show more
