I have now purchased three different types of LED tube lights. These are the best. The first one was a replacement tube light that went into the fixture without any wiring changes. Very easy, but when the ballast finally goes out, I'll need to replace it for the lights to work. I didn't like this option. The second version required replacing the shunts/tombstones and rewiring the ballast out of the configuration. This worked ok, except some of my fixtures didn't fit (not enough space) with the new shunts. If your lights don't have covers, this might not be a problem. My third option was the Barrina lights. These are my choice. Use the existing shunts, remove the ballast, and rewire per the instructions. The light output is great. I had the brightest T8 tube lights I could find at Home Depot, and the new LED lights are definitely brighter. So, I ordered more of these to change an additional 16 fixtures. If I have any longevity issues, I'll update this review. ... show more

These 6000k bulbs where easy to install after removing the ballast. They come on perfectly. however, even though it's hard for me to say this, they're almost too bright in my fixtures. I feel that the color, which is bluish White combined with the brightness lumens, gives me a headache if I'm in there for too long now. I ended up rotating them a 180 degrees in their housing so they reflect off the top and back down which has helped a little but unfortunately it's still very piercing. I feel this might be a good product for someone who has their light fixtures very high out of eyeline in the ceiling or if they have some kind of cover or shroud on their fluorescent light fixture. So I will now begin the process of researching 5000 K LED lights tube Instead at at a lower Lumen output. Besides that they're great and they do exactly what they say they are supposed to do, at an amazingly low price. ... show more

** Update 2/17/20 ** 2 more lights have since stopped working. I can see 1 more is probably going to go soon as there is an LED inside flickering. I can't tell if it is the LED driver board that is failing or an LED/traces that are burning out and causing the whole strip to fail. I am really shocked to see so many high reviews on this product. I find it very unlikely that I got 2 cases of these lights that are defective. I would highly avoid buying these unless you prefer to replace LEDs more often than florescent lights. --- I replaced my T8 florescent bulbs in my garage with these as I was tired of replacing the bulbs so often, especially in the cold season. I have 32 bulbs in a 3-car garage. Let me tell you right now with all of them on, you will be squinting, but rest assured you will be able to see very well what you are working on. My lights are wired on a motion switch so only 8 bulbs are lit when activity is detected. The remaining on when I need them. This context is important to know how often (or little) the lights are on. Purchased July 30, 2019, I have already had 3 bulbs go out on me. 2 of which were on the motion set (so really only coming on when I enter and leave the garage) and the other bulb on my set that is rarely ever on. If I were to guess, the 2 bulbs on my motion switch probably had 10 hours of on-time (and that is likely a stretch). The other bulb probably 2 hours. I contacted the company and they are in the process of helping compensate for the bulbs, but I am worried about the life of my remaining set. These lights are night cheap, especially when buying 32 of them. As LEDs, these should last me a decade when compare to the life I would get out of my standard florescent bulbs. ... show more

Im disappointed in this product because Im experiencing tube failures in just a few months. Also, there doesn't seem as through there is any warrenty process. The improved light is great and it was very simple to change to the LED bulb. After contacting Barrina customer service my issue was resolved beyond my expectations. Their follow up on this problem went well beyond any experience I've ever had with a company. They stay behind their product and truly represent customer support and satisfaction. My workshop has 60 4 foot light tubes that were originally all fluorescent. I began switching to LED about a year ago slowly buying a few at a time to see how the light color and brightness would be. I tried several different brands with varying results not finding what suited the lighting needs for a workshop. I finally found the answer here with the Barrina T8 T10 T12 LED Light Tube, 4ft, 24W. It has the best light color and is the brightest of the previous 5 brands I've tried. I just ordered more of these and will complete the shop with these LED's. You can do the somewhat expensive and disappointing experiment I did or take My word for it these are ideal for a workshop. I wish I had found these earlier. ... show more

Buyer beware! I brought 3 of the 16 bulb packs for my shop, took a while to rewire fixtures but not bad to do. My problem with these lights is that 8 bulbs so far have burnt out, got looking at the rest of the bulbs and noticed black rings in the bulbs that are still working, what it is is the little bulbs inside have burnt out, which means these bulbs are on their way out also, so 3/4 of the 48 bulbs I bought are about done. I put these bulbs in in April of last year so they have been in use 1 year, with about an average day use of 2-3 hours. They list them as 5years with and average use per day of 3 hours, or 50,000 hours total. Cheap Chinese junk. Don’t waste your money, buy good bulbs with a warranty. I have tried a couple times to reach out to this seller with no response. ... show more
