I have used Bare Minerals products for about 15 years now and no matter how many times I venture off to other brands I always come running back to their products. I struggle with a lot of redness and type 1 rosacea. This setting powder (original) has a slight tint to it even though they market it as a translucent powder. I set it over many products such as Hourglass stick foundation, Bare Minerals Matte Loose Foundation, and my new daily routine is setting it over the Dr Jarts Color Corrector cream which isn't technically a foundation. I'm very pale so I appreciate the slight color in the powder. It holds up all day and doesn't irriate my skin like other powders do. There is no blotchiness and no discoloration so no worries trying to match it to your skin. There is also no perfume smell which you come across a lot. Grab the Bare Minerals Beautiful Foundation brush for full coverage. I pour some of the powder into the lid, dab the brush into the powder, give the brush a quick tap to shake off the excess poweder, and then dab onto my face until there are no wet areas.

This helps my skin look smooth, soft and soaks up oil as the day goes on. My skin is naturally very oily and this helps a lot to prevent it. I start with a little then a little more; I’m careful about not putting on too much though cause then my skin can look a little dry and even flaky in some spots. Moderation and application is key.

I love Bare Mineral, especially the Mineral Veil. This product I received this last time when I ordered from an Amazon vendor was basically okay; it just didn't have the lid included. I can live with this because I have a lid from the product i just finished using, and also since there is a protective cover over the new product I didn't lose any. It's just unprofessional. Irritating. But I'll continue to order Bare Mineral products - but maybe from another reseller.
