I have had and been using this mattress pad for over 18 months now. The photos included in this review are after it came out of the washer and dryer after 18 months of regular use. I cannot speak highly enough about this mattress pad. Previously I was sleeping directly on a 30 year old mattress and the springs were digging into my ribs. At the time, I couldn’t afford to invest in an entirely new mattress so I opted to get a pad instead. I’m so pleased with this, it’s so plush, it’s like sleeping on top of the coziest comforter you could imagine. Even after over a year it’s still plush, soft and I cannot feel the springs from the mattress below. This is also a down alternative pad which is important to me. As I mentioned, I was it and dry it regularly, just throw a tennis ball into the dryer to help with the fluff. It cleans up nicely, doesn’t shrink, pill or fall apart in the dryer. I’m very pleased! What a small investment for a great night of sleep!

College dorm mattresses aren't known for their comfort. That's why foam mattress pads are popular purchases by parents trying to help make their child's home away from home more comfortable. FYI, there's nothing comfortable or cozy about foam. Thankfully, in my search to make my son's sleep as peaceful as possible, I found the Bare Home Pillow Top Mattress Pad. It arrived a couple of days before we left to move him to North Carolina for college, so the first time I saw it was when we opened the box in his dorm room when I made his bed. I was more than pleased with the material's softness, and I tossed it into the dryer for about 10 minutes to fluff the down. In an effort to quickly get his room set up and everything moved in, I didn't get to lay down on it to test it out before driving home. The true testimony of just how amazing this mattress topper is came the next morning when my son called me just to tell me how cozy his bed was and how well he slept. When I was purchasing mattress pads, I would usually look at the shipping weight to tell whether the pad really has a lot of padding (the heavier the better) and this one topped most of the very expensive ones. This is one of those products where the bulkier the better. I did sew it so that the quilting will be smaller and there will be less movement of the stuffing material but I was planning to do that that anyway whatever mattress pad I buy- it just makes sense. But lazy as i am, I only sawed half of it (the top part). Now I've been using it for a month and there are no lumps either way. It is fluffy, soft, and heavy. My only complaint is, the side material that wraps around the mattress - it is thin and has too much elasticity and can be pulled and stretched down all the way under the box spring (which I did). But the top, oh my god. It's great . When I bought this, it didn't have any reviews yet. But I saw the weight. At $31 for the king size (free shipping, of course, it was a really good purchase. (Ithink it costs $40 now.

My husband has been suffering with a fairly new but very hard mattress. He chose this hard mattress so it would be easier to transfer out of his wheelchair to the bed and back. We got this Bare Pad when he needed to spend more time in bed healing a skin condition. Right out of the box, it was a hit. He loved the softness and it didn't impede his wheelchair transfers. We've been looking around for 1.5" mattress toppers and came across this Bare Home Pillow-Top Mattress Pad so we took a chance for the price. It was an answer to our prayers.

I really love this pillow top product! It has made it so my hubby and I can both sleep very comfortably in the same bed!! Finally!! Back story--hubby got us a new mattress a few months back because he has a really bad back and has struggled to sleep comfortably for years and was hoping it would help him. It was perfect for him, but not so much for me. The new mattress didn't "breathe/air circulate" like mattresses we had previously. Big bummer because I was now the one having problems sleeping because I was too hot with said new mattress. This pillow top was a gamechanger for me!! I love it and am now sleeping great!! Major problem solved!! I is very comfy and soft. Both hubby and I are sleeping like champs in the same bed after 25+ years of marriage. Thank you!!

My wife and I just purchased a new mattress. I am a side sleeper but also go to my stomach. My wife is a stomach sleeper. The problem is that a side sleeper needs softer, a stomach sleeper needs firmer. The mattress we got was firmer (my wife loves it). I found myself suffering when I was on my side. Terrible pain in my shoulder and hips that would wake me up throughout the night. I started looking for toppers for my side of the king sized bed. Tried memory foam -- hated it. Tried 1" latex - no success. Tried 3" latex - same (it was too tall as well). Finally, I found this mattress pad. Thick enough to provide padding, firm enough to keep me from bottoming out. Really comfortable. No more pain! I really don't care about the ability to reverse it. It doesn't seem to sleep hot either. Great value. Now I love my mattress as much as my wife.

Bought this mattress pad so that I could remove a foam topper that was making me hot when sleeping. In the description of the product, it said that one side could be used in summer and the plush side in winter for warmth. I am using the summer side and am sleeping better. Nice product, well made and packaged nicely. No bad smell. Just one thought to company--put in statement for consumer about summer/winter sides. There is nothing explaining that. I had to go back on line to make sure I understood the product and which side to use.

Fabulous!!! I read all the reviews before ordering. I love the thickness and softness. I put the pads in the dryer as a review suggested for 15 minutes on medium heat with a couple wet towels and they came out perfect. Another review complained of hanging down too far. I just tucked them under the mattress. My husband and I are like furnaces when we sleep. I have arthritis in my back. We have only had ours a week but we sleep through the night and we are not sweating. I wake up not so stiff and sore even in high humidity and hot weather. I recommend these for anyone who wants a good night sleep.
