    • Easily Removes Dead Grass From Lawn!
What we liked; 1) Well packaged, and everything was there (including an extra bolt/nut). The required tools to assemble this rake were also included. 2) Directions are easy to ready, include diagrams, and were simple to follow. While this does require assembly, it's very straight forward and if you were not sure about how it goes together, the directions will easily point you in the correct direction. 3) It's well built. While I would consider is to be a medium-heavy duty, this is not a thatching rake you would want to run a lawncare business with. However, most of us are not doing that and it should hold upto years of abuse around our home. 4) Handle is adjustable. There are several sections that screw together to create the handle. If you want, you can remove one of the sections (they are about 15" long) and make the handle shorter if needed. While this may be a week-point down the road for failure since they are plastic screw connections, it is a nice feature. 5) It works! While it is fairly labor intensive in our lawn, it does pull up a significant amount of dead grass. The pile of grass I was able to pull up was 95% dead, with very little green in it. I was worried that it would just tear my lush lawn up, but it didn't! Overall an excellent product and recommended for someone who's looking for a cheap and easy (labor excluded) way to remove the dead grass from their lawn. ... show more

    • Very aggresive, if you have the need
We live on property, not a normal yard in a PUD, and sometimes, in areas of overgrowth or in gardens that need attention, you can just rip into things with this, like having teeth. Be careful too, it's not for just normal raking, even if evening out dirt for laying sod, etc. This is a sharp tool, with deep teeth. If you have the need to de-thatch, almost dig something up, you'll capture A LOT with this rake. Goes together easily, seems like it will last. You have the ability to adjust the angle of downforce, but I'm not sure that ability to shift the rake head adds much, it's metal, sturdy and sharp. What you see if what you get, no real need to show a pic, just go for it if you have aggressive work to be done! ... show more

This was an excellent choice to add to my tool shed. My yard desperately needs dethatching but I've never found a hand tool I like, and renting a gas powered dethatcher is too expensive for me, not to mention huge and difficult to transport. As soon as I opened the box things were looking good. Packaged well and with the bag of hardware taped in (I've lost a few in the past or they are loose in the box and scratch things up). Everything about this tool is great quality. Heck, I'd give 5 stars just for instructions I can actually see to read, and for those two tools for tightening the hardware! Went together easily and quickly, and extra parts are included. I added one photo to show the range of adjustments possible for the head with the tines. One thing I don't know is why some tines are straight and some are curved. Not sure if they have specific applications. There are 3 sections to the handle so you can adjust the length of it if different people use it. It is made with high quality materials and nothing bends or wobbles. Excellent value and quality. My yard looks a lot better since I started using this great tool. This makes yard work so much easier. It is so light and so smart! It's so easy to navigate: it makes its way by the plants without damaging them and so efficiently collects the dead leaves and debris. It's a pleasure to work with it! It was easy to assemble and so easy to use. I appreciate that it's so light and nimble. It entices me to do more yard work. What an awesome yard tool this is! Five stars all the way!
