While the product is good, it's not really an upgrade to the Crosley suitcase player needle I used to have. I hoped I could polish a turd with these but there was no difference. The product worked and it came nearly packaged inside a metal tin(lid doesn't snap shut, be careful of it falling off). I can't fault them for that. I just hoped it would improve sound. But unfortunately, you can't improve the garbage of the suitcase record players.

I bought a Victrolla suitcase record player on a whim while walking around at Walmart one night. It was on clearance for $40. I bought some records and gave it a try, but it would skip on a decent number of songs. Funny it didn’t skip on older records. Only the brand new ones had this problem. I considered getting a better record player, but looked into upgrade options. Adding this new Diamond tip stylus has made all the difference. I listened to my records for a few hours without a single skip after replacing the ruby tip stylus with this newer Diamond stylus. Still plan to upgrade someday, but nice to know this record player works fine. Might pass it down to one of the kids soon.

Replaced the original stylus on my cheap crosley player. The diamond tip is a huge upgrade over the cheap original sapphire one. It was an easy install and 100% worth it. Good sound quality, as far as the player is capable of producing. I don't sense that it is scratching my records, either. I'm happy with this product. Works as advertised.
