  • 2 Year Heavy Usage
Color: Matte Black
I have had these for around 2 years and use them for about 4 hours average daily while working. I will try to give a summary of my experience. Build quality - The build quality on these is very nice. The primary materials exposed to potential damage are metal and leather. While they may endure some bumps and scrapes, they likely will not break. The only damage mine have sustained is scratched metal and small tears in the leather, but nothing that a sewing needle and some thread couldn't fix. Even after the damage, they still look great. Sound quality - They are B&O's - what do you expect? While not top tier audiophile quality, these still sound great and balanced with very little distortion. Some might find the bass lacking, but it can also be adjusted to your preference in the app. Just be sure to burn them in with some pink noise as audio quality will seem disappointing otherwise straight out of the box. Comfort - As someone with a rather large head, I can wear these anywhere from 2-10 hours per day with glasses and not have issues. I can definitely still feel them, but they don't squeeze to the point of a headache like other over ear headphones do. Battery life - While the battery life has given way a bit, I am still able to get through around 2 full days of work and then some before needing a charge. Electronics - No issues with the bluetooth, no issue with controls, no issues with the aux in port, but the power switch I do occasionally have problems with - nothing that flipping the switch back and forth a couple of times hasn't fixed though. Noise cancellation - these do not have active noise cancellation, but they do decently suppress higher frequency sounds. I would say they block noise slightly less than Airpod Pro's with noise cancellation turned OFF. Gym - no, I tried working out in these and that was a mistake. The pads absorb sweat and retain heat. These would make horrible gym headphones. Overall, I am very pleased with these. I'll be giving them to my dad when I get an upgraded pair soon. Hope this helps persuade or dissuade anyone who was on the fence! ... show more

  • Loud audio floor blue tooth
Color: Matte Black
There is a very audible noise when connected to Bluetooth, it reminds me of the sound picking up the phone during a fax or modem connection. In quiet situations it gives me a headache and makes them unusable. Plugged in... 5 stars. I went to the retailer and tried to get them to hear it, I even recorded it with a condenser mic, but to no avail, stuck with them now. ... show more

  • Almost perfect headphones if you can overlook a few flaws
Color: Limestone
After several weeks of using this "entry level" Bang & Olufsen H4 2nd gen, the main takeaway is that this is for someone who wants a better sound quality but does not need the full Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature. I have the Sony WH1000XM3 so this will be a direct side by side comparison: _Design: this is a coin-toss as I like both designs, the B&O H4 is more fashion and bold with the metallic band while the XM3 is more classic with its plastic-y look. _Comfort: as a glasses wearer, the XM3 is a tad bit more comfortable for long hours wear with more paddings on top and the earpads that shape to the ears. However, the leather quality of the B&O H4 is quite nice - I just hope that the H4 had more padding on the crown. _Sound quality: after breaking in, I am confident that the B&O H4 sound is more defined and out-there compared to the XM3, which is more subdued in my opinion. The bass is more pronounced yet not ridiculously boosted. For movies, the immersion is better overall. _The tech: both the H4 (2nd gen) and the XM3 has USB-C charge, however the XM3 has the physical buttons compared to the XM3 touch control. It is simply a matter preference. _Noise cancelling: The XM3 is simply the winner here with the ANC feature. While the B&O H4 blocks most moderate background noise, I can tell if it's noisy around me. _The cons: as a slightly higher price, the B&O did not come with a carrying case or even a pouch while the XM3 has a really nice hard case. With that said, the H4 cannot be folded for easy storage either. While this was not a deal breaker for me using the H4 at home or in office most of the time, those who travel often might prefer the XM3 more. Final words: having tried both headphones, I would actually use the B&O H4 more at home and the Sony XM3 for travel and airplane. If noise cancelling is a big factor for you, pick the Sony XM3 or XM4 instead! ... show more

  • Luckily got it on sale
Color: Matte Black
Decent pair of headphones : 1) comfort (compared to Bose) Now I understand why Bose is oval in shape, unless your ears are round, these headphones case my ears to ache after long use 2) BT connectivity : Sound is OK but nothing I would rave about. Distance is short, and once signal is lost, reconnection is a prblem 3) as stated - good thing I got it on sale, and did not pay full price. ... show more
