As a model railroad hobbyist, I am happy to find these large (5/8") balsa sticks. I need dozens of substantial evergreen trees and these are noticeably larger than the commonly available 1/2" x 1/2" sticks. Most HO scale available trees are way too small to be realistic, so these will really help by towering over my passing trains. Also significant: these really are balsa, not basswood. Other vendors intermingle "basswood" and "balsa" as if the woods are the same. Balsa is very easy to carve and turn into evergreen trunks; basswood is a denser, harder wood.
