I have not tried my jacket at the pool yet. I just received it and washed it. I love the material they used to make this. It's smooth silky and has loose fit. Most impressed with the way it washed. I hung it to dry which took no time. The material is very light weight and comfortable with a little give and moves with me. Can't wait to try it this weekend in the full sun at the pool.Want to see how it protects my skin and how it does with sunscreen that transfer to the material. I can see already I won't get overheated with wearing this. This jacket is already a huge improvement from another brand I got years ago. This one is cool, light weight, soft and I would probably wear it more than just at the pool. Definitely a good choice. So Happy I bought 2 different colors, one for the pool and one for any day I'm out in the sun and need protection. I can see me wearing them any time in the sun not just as a pool jacket like my old brand.

I ordered this in a size larger than I normally would and I think that was the right way to go in order to keep this feeling breezy on my summer walks. I can pull the hood up with a baseball cap underneath, thumbs in the thumb holes, and the larger size gives a little more coverage to my hands and neck when I do that. The fabric was not clingy even though I got sweaty. I think the fabric is breathable. There was a light breeze and I could feel it. I appreciated that I didn’t need to cover my entire upper body in sunscreen because of the UPF. I was out for about 90 minutes and didn’t have any signs of sun exposure where I was covered with the shirt. I will probably order a second one.

I absolutely love this jacket! It's perfect for layering or when it's just a little cool outside. It's not very thick, which makes it very easily packable in a small space. Looks great - love the contoured fit. I initially bought one that was a bit too large, thinking it would look ok with a loose fit, like most jackets. It sagged and bagged in all the wrong places. I then got the correct size and what a difference! Very happy with this purchase. Holes for thumbs and a ponytail are a nice feature.

Wore this during a motorcycle trip in super high direct sun and heat. Not only did it breathe well but also saved my sun sensitive skin from being burnt. It accomplished what I needed it to. Only suggestion I have is to go up one size if you want some room. I'm an XL and it fit almost like it was tailored to me. If you dont like that go up a size.

This brand is the absolute best. I got the zip up jacket so that would be easy to get on and off over my swimsuit at the beach. It hasn’t failed me. It’s also easy to put on over a tank top if I’m out running errands and get cool from the breezes off the ocean as I am in a beach town. It’s also great to wear to outdoor concerts at night. I like the fact that it has the SPF rating. The fabric is unbelievably soft. It feels like an old T-shirt that’s been washed 1000 times on steroids. I can’t say enough good things about this or this brand. It’s a beautiful color. It’s easy to wash, easy wear. Don’t compare this to other jackets that are shown alongside of it. They’re not going to be in this price range, but they’re also not going to be at this Quality. You get what you pay for, and, in this case, you want to pay for this.

I didn't like this jacket. Sizing was a bit big or it was designed to be really boxy. I got the light blue and it color was as expected. I prefer the hooded pull over SPF shirts to this zip up hoodie. If you prefer a zip up, this is for you. I have other products from this line and found they work great at preventing sunburn without being too warm. So while this wasn't for me due to style, based on the pullover hooded SPF shirts, I would expect it to perform functionally to reduce risk of sunburn.
