Top Amazon Reviews

  • EXACTLY what I was looking for
Size: Large Color: 01-black-25.5'' Inseam
The Backstory: Once upon a time, I found the perfect pair of sweats (they were not these). This was 6 years ago. I bought 3 pairs of them when I realized how much I liked them because I knew someday, inevitably, I'd run out. Those sweats have been unavailable on amazon for approximately 5.5 years and I have never been able to find them again. I've checked intermittently, hoping that they'd be there again because once I find something I like, I stick to them and try to just keep buying the same thing as long as the quality remains the same. About 3 months ago after multiple holes started appearing in the crotch and the legs began to fray on all of them, I knew I'd have to find another pair of pants. The Search: I started passively searching around 3 months ago. I'm a med student so I don't have an abundance of time or money, so passive searching is me looking on amazon in the middle of a long shift or as I'm falling asleep in bed avoiding my responsibilities. These actually caught my eye pretty early on because I have two sets of legging shorts with pockets from Baleaf that I really like, and I thought that maybe these would be good too, but $37 was a little much for me to just spring on right away without proving to myself that I had no other options. Some other things caught my eye, but I kept coming back to these because they checked a lot of boxes for me (reviews talked about them as comfortable, they looked like they'd be light, they had adequate (and zipping!) pockets, reviews said they were soft, they had jogger bottoms so I wouldn't have the fraying ends problem again from stepping on them, and less importantly but still relevantly they had kind of the profile I was passively looking for). I decided to get a pair just to try it out, trusting that if I hated them or even if they didn't live up to my standards, I could just return them. The Verdict: I LOVE these pants. LOVE. I think it's too soon to say whether or not I love them as much as my old sweats, but they are already way up there and set to surpass the others if they last even half as long. They are light, deceptively stretchy material, quick drying, and have more than adequate pockets. They're extremely comfortable, look great, and fit well. I really appreciated reviews with pictures and sizes when I was making my decision, so here's mine: I'm 5'8 and what I would describe as a muscular 168lbs. At this size, I bought large to be safe, and I got the 25.5" legs, but I think I could have gotten a medium too and been fine and I just might still in the future since I've lost 20lbs in the last 2.5 months and plan to lose about 5-10 more in the next month. The legs are short, but I like that for running honestly (ran 5.5 miles in them this morning they were more comfortable than my normal shorts even, and not too hot at all). I'm definitely going to buy more (and already have). I also took them hiking yesterday with my dogs and they dried extremely quickly after my Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd tromped through the river and then immediately shook themselves off on me haha. I have no real cons to them, though I'll update if they break down quickly! Til then, I'll be ordering more and wearing them literally every day I can get away with it lol. Message for Baleaf: PLEASE don't take these off the market, I don't wanna go searching again for another perfect pair of pants LOL ... show more

  • Perfect except for the waistband
Size: Large Color: 12-black-cargo Jogger-27.5'' Inseam
I bought 2 of these Baleaf jogger pants - Black 01 in XL and 12-Black-cargo-jogger-2...in Large. I love them for their sweat-wicking properties. I'm in peri-menopause & sweat in a freezer, and not just a normal glistening - I sweat profusely everywhere. I needed these pants for both the cooling factor & to not show wetness. These fit that bill perfectly. Even for pants in the summer, they are just as cooling as shorts, thus they hide the sweat drops that run down my legs, protect furniture, & keep me from sticking to the car's leather seat. Regarding fit: For reference, I am 5'1", 160 lbs, ~27" inseam (short legs), and carry most of my weight around the middle section. I usually wear large to XL (sizes 14 - 16) tops and medium to large (sizes 10 - 14) bottoms. The xl is baggy & the large fits loosely, but it still works bc of the elastic waistbands & drawstrings. I might try the medium next time. The waistbands are not the same. The Black 01 elastic waistband is perfect: ~1½" wide, sewn throught to secure in place, and doesn't roll. The cargo pants' elastic waistband is <1", not secured within that tube seam, and rolls terribly. It sucks 97%, feels cheap (lowering Baleaf's quality standard imo) & I cuss at it every time I potty & pull them up again. It's definitely a thing. Length: Again, I'm short with short legs. I always get the short length, when available, in all my pants and, sometimes, still need to hem them. Both pants do balloon at the ankle on me (the xl noticeably more than the L, which is to be expected), but definitely not enough to be bothersome or warrant the inconvenience of hemming. The cargos have a 2" knitted stretchy hem at the ankle. The other has a secured 1" elastic inside of a tube seam. They both work equally fine for me now, but I suspect that the knitted cuff will stretch out over time. The pockets - POCKETS! The pockets rock & I love the extra ones on the cargo pants. Both pants have the same hip pockets with zippers (the cargos have a piece on the zipper pull with a 1" loop on the end that makes it easier to zip/unzip). I keep my phone there & zip it up just a tad to keep it from falling out when I stoop/squat/bend yet still able to grab my phone quickly without having to unzip. That is to say that the angle, height, & depth of the hip pockets, on both pants, work for me. The zippers have that small flap on top, which protects the integrity of the teeth and keeps the metal zipper pull from rubbing or scratching surfaces you may lean against. A small detail that I appreciate. The zippers are tight on both pants - sometimes I need both hands to operate, but that could be due to getting a larger size than needed (bagginess). Tight zippers increase the security of the contents inside, but adds a touch of inconvenience. A matter of preference and YMMV + they may loosen over time. The cargo pockets do not have velcro or anything securing the flap down. I prefer this bc velcro collects lint & reduces the efficacy over time. Besides, if I need something secured, I'd just put it in the zippered pockets. The hip pockets are deep enough to overlap with the cargo pockets (hip pockets end approx 1½" above the bottom of the cargo pockets). The fabric and seams are good quality & void of loose strings. Bottom line: I definitely recommend these pants and, if conflicted between sizes, I'd suggest going with the smaller one. However, Baleaf needs to change the elastic (especially the waistband) on the cargo pants asap. If they'd just use the same waist as the Black01 pants, they'd be 5+ stars & virtually perfect. I hope this is helpful. I rarely leave such detailed reviews, but I've included all the information that I wish I'd had when I was shopping around. ✌️ ☮️ ... show more

  • Tech fabric, breathable, good for short people!
Size: X-Large Color: 11-blue-25.5'' Inseam
I'm 4'11, and these crop joggers alllllmost fit the way I would want non-crop joggers to fit. I got XL. Unfortunately, only the gray and blue worked for me - I tried burgundy and green, but bc this size is baggy, those colors showed too much fabric creasing and draping for my liking. If I got a smaller size, I think they'd look more streamlined, but I wanted very loose. ALSO - this is TECH fabric - like swishy, outdoor, quick dry. Very light and breathable. It's not "soft" per se. Very comfortable though, and the best lightweight joggers AND breathable I've found so far. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Attractive Hiking Pants
Size: Medium Color: 04-dark Gray-28'' Inseam
I just received these and wore them for a short hike to try out. So far, so good. Will see how they handle longer hikes and washing, but as of now I really like these. The waist band is comfortable and the legs taper to ankle. I got the size Medium-28 (I'm 5'7" and 139 lb). Love all the zippered pockets, I put my iphone in my back pocket when hiking and it fits well. I plan to take these on vacation and can see wearing them out and about in town, as well as on our active adventures. ... show more

  • Great for short folks
I’m 5’1, 115 pounds and got the 25 inch inseam pants in size Small. I also tried a pair in XS but they were too tight for my liking. The Small fits really well. The length hits perfectly for a full-length pant fit. The material is really light though I think it’s still too hot (August; 88-95 degrees daily) to wear them. I was hoping to keep bugs off of me while I hike/work in the garden. They are light enough for a low 80’s to mid 70’s day though so I’ll have to wait another month or two. Overall they are very comfy, have a cute fit, and I’m excited to wear them. ... show more

  • Love these for hikes
Purchased that pants for hiking in Yellowstone. They were thin enough to wear all day, but kept my legs from getting scratched on the trails. My cell phone is large (Samsung S22 Ultra) so it could almost fit in the front pocket on my thigh - just couldn't zip it, but stayed secure. This was very, very helpful to grab for quick pictures of wildlife - or my goofy kids - rather than carrying in my backpack. ... show more

  • LOVE THEM
Size: Large Color: 11-blue-25.5'' Inseam
They fit perfectly & are great for keeping the mosquitos away. They are lightweight & do dry quickly. I just love the feel & fit. All the pockets are great. When wearing for extended periods outside in the sun I do notice they have a tendency to feel a bit warmer then cotton pants.

  • IT HAS POCKETS!! Check the length carefully though
Size: XX-Large Color: 01-black-25.5'' Inseam
Even though I returned the pair I ordered, I am still giving them a 5 star review. They fit great other than length, and the pockets are actually large enough to hold useful amounts of stuff. And they zip securely! Finally, we can carry our stuff in our pockets like guys and don't need to schlepp a purse around. I think these would be absolutely perfect for summer festivals, powwows, and camping. Be careful to order the right length though. Silly me, I didn't realize they came in two lengths and mine were much too short. I returned them but already ordered 3 replacement pairs in the longer size. I absolutely recommend these, just be certain to check that the inseam length you are ordering is correct for your height. ... show more
