The Baleaf high waisted swim shorts are a hit with me! I actually own several pairs of shorts from this brand, but this was my first pair of swim shorts. The fabric is black, it’s very lightweight & it dries quickly. It has a nice little split for mobility on each leg. It has built-in bikini type bottoms, so, if the lighter weight fabric floats up, there are no embarrassing moments while swimming! One thing I really love about these shorts is how long they are. They are a tiny bit longer than typical swim shorts, and as a mature lady, I really appreciate that little bit of extra length - a smidge of extra coverage is just perfect for me. These shorts also have a small amount of tummy control, to help flatten out my tummy nicely. The cut of the short is very slimming. They are machine washable, and you should hang them to dry. However, I accidentally put mine in the dryer a couple of times. They still look great, but I think they might be a bit tighter than they’re supposed to be. I really like them. I would highly recommend. I hope you like yours just as much :)

I bought these because I needed swim shorts for an event and I'm not a fan of traditional swim bottoms. These have a swim liner in them, so they are perfect for swimming, but they are so comfortable and long enough that I can wear them out if I want to. They are not super tight through the legs and are a walking-short length (for me anyway!). Seriously, the most comfortable pair of shorts. And the pockets are great. I ordered a large, which is usually what I wear (I'm about a size 12), and they weren't constricting or tight through the belly area. I plan to buy all of the colors of these because I loved the first pair so much! :)

These fit nicely and were comfortable. But they were not quick dry. Now, maybe that's because it was the ocean and not a pool? I went into the ocean came out and 30min later my shorts were still sticking to me wet. Others in a regular swim suit were saying, wow I'm dry already and I was wet. Pretty miserable feeling. It's hot and humid, I don't need shorts sticking to me.

Ok I went by the size recommendation. It says anyone who wears a 16-18 should go with size XL. Yes I can get them on but they’re extremely tight. Very inconvenient. Now I have to get the next size up. So don’t go by their size guidelines because they are off. I’m a true 2X or XXL. That’s what I’m going to buy now. So get your actual size! Otherwise they seem good. Pockets are nice and big. Only problem is the size is too small!
