Exactly as expected. Easy to put the rack together. As others mention, the weights were oily and the smell of rubber is very strong. Wipe them down to get the oil off and enjoy the tire shop smell.

Easy to assemble. Box was heavy and took two of us to put together. My son loves it. Love the pad it comes on so the floor doesn’t get damaged. Has a strong rubber/oily smell but once it’s put together it airs out. You way want to wipe down the weights with a Clorox wipe. We love it. Great for the whole family. First addition to our family gym. Also a great price.

This is kind of a long review and i hope it helps other people. first let me say that I don't have an overactive sense of smell and i am not being "funny" about them. Second, the quality is ok and I have no issues with the actual products performance. Third, maybe some shipments smell worse than others...read on. When the weights arrived i notice they smelled like a recycled tire plant. they were dripping oil. I immediately took them to a carwash and covered every surface with Dawn power wash extreme. Next after letting them sit awhile, i put the spray on engine degreaser/tire cleaner and hosed them down carefully and completely. that was followed by soap and rinse. the result was the oil was gone but the smell, if anything was worse. the next step was to completely immerse them in odoban for 24+ hours. then i let them sit outside in full sun for a week to exgas. They still smell horrible. so what is horrible...when entering a 4000 square foot house they are the first thing you notice is the smell of old tires. And they are in the gym downstairs. So now they are going outsid again and I will probably just get rid of them. My neighbors even commented on the smell when they were in the driveway so it was not just us. So is you can't smell and don't mind smelling up your house or want to run the chance of getting a set that doesn't smell take your chances, otherwise shop elsewhere. I am now getting rid of these for free, so far no takers.

The set looks great, arrived quickly, and was very easy to assemble. But they were covered in some type of oil. So much that it was dripping off of some of the weights and we had to wash them. It smells like car oil and has made the room they are in unbearable. Hopefully they will air out and be fine in a few days.

I bought these for my son but I've been impressed with the quality. It's not hard to make a decent weight but these are about the same as what I use at the gym and the range is perfect for a 14 year old or someone who doesn't need big weights. The stand came together easily although the included tools are a joke but the quality of the fasteners is fine. Sturdy and stable.
