  • Top, pro quality
These are comparable to the Knipex Cobras in every way. It's got a fine-tooth mechanism, so fine-grained adjustments are available. It has a little lever to open the jaws, as opposed to the push-button on the Knipex. Very easy to use – maybe even a little easier in tight quarters. Unlike the standard Cobras, these Bahco pliers allow you to simply push the jaws closed, instead of having to push the button. And like the Cobras, they will lock into position and release with a gentle flip of the bottom handle. Like the Knipex, the jaws are well-hardened. After heavy use, the jaw teeth are still flawless, unlike the Irwin version of this tool, which are much softer. The head profile is slightly different from the Knipex. It is just as thin, in terms of thickness, but the Bahcos are a little taller So it fits in plenty tight spots, but the Knipex has a little more clearance from top to bottom. The handles are very comfortable. I haven't encountered a rusty pipe or fastener this tool hasn't been able to break loose. If they are so comparable, is there any reason to buy the Bahco over the Knipex Cobras? Well, the Bahcos are similar in price to the standard Cobras with the comfort grips. But if you want the push adjustment feature in the Cobras, you're going to pay a lot more, unless you can catch a special or a sale. The Cobras have become the standard for top of the line channellock-type pliers, for good reason. These Bahcos will give you the same top of the line performance, however, and I recommend them. ... show more

I bought these out of curiosity. They seem well made and have very tight joints with little wobble. The handles are comfortable. The head is a little large and therefore wouldn't fit into tight spots. Overall they are decent but I think Ill stick with Knipex.

  • not the worst but not as good as my knipex
the reason I bought these is bc the jaw capacity is much bigger than anything else and that's all it has going for it the build quality isn't the worst but for the price there is so much better the grip isn't anywhere near my knipex it doesn't bite as good it just shreds the surface of pipes where as the knipex bites and digs in these just slip if you really put your weight in to it ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When they grab on they work great! When they slide your fingers will hate you. Thru out then last two days I've hurt my figured 7 times replacing and readjusting some clamps
