Lightweight and I can easily place my 6.5lbs Malti-Shitzu in it. He seems comfortable. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for dogs larger than a fat cat! ;) I really like the extra extension. I take it to restaurants with outdoor seating, put it in shopping carts, or I place him in it when visiting friends or unfamiliar places while he gets acclimated. It’s his safe place. I place it horizontally between my front seats with the side panel unzipped as I drive allowing him a copilot view! Oh, it fits under airplane seats! (Photo) A couple minor negatives: 1) It needs convertible straps that can turn the backpack into a tote. Carrying it by the straps makes the bag uneven for the pup. 2) It needs padding along the ribbing on the exterior, bottom backside part of the backpack. It bumps against one’s lower back. It starts to hurt. I often carry the backpack on my front like a baby carrier. 🐾 Best wishes.

It folds up so conveniently, my cat loves it, has enough room for a small blanket and room for food and water bowls when you are hiking or traveling and rest. I wish I had two backs so I could buy one for my chihuahua as well lol

I bought this for a friend who had just adopted a cat. She loves it! When they were waiting at the vet’s office she opened the expanding back so the cat could stretch out & relax while still being safely inside the carrier. It’s light weight, the cat can see out, and she seemed very comfortable in it. Nice backpack carrier at a great price

We have a 10 lb toy poodle that we want to fly with, so I did extensive research and bought 3 different back-pack style pet carriers. We chose the Baghler expandable because it met our specific needs: (1) it flexes well when putting our dog under the seat on the airline, allowing him the most space & comfort in tight spaces, (2) it offers maximum space for him to lie down & stretch out while waiting at the gate, and (3) it works okay as a backpack when I'm schlepping the rest of the luggage into & out of th airport. Not sure how it'll hold up in the long run but for the price it's been a great decision thus far.

I purchased this for a small pomeranian who is claustrophobic and gets pretty hot. I knew the front panel was PVC and the top of the sides. I did not expect the sides to be completely PVC down into the pockets. This defeats the purpose of having mesh side pockets. There is only front ventilation when you are wearing the backpack. Expanded the back also is ventilated but when wearing, your back covers the mesh. The few air holes in the PVC was not enough ventilation to get to the bottom of the carrier which was pretty stuffy and hot aftet I removed her.
