This bag exceeded my expectations which I got for an international trip. It’s a narrow profile so it was discreet but held a lot of daily items I needed. I used the zipper pull latches to secure to the various metal loops. I kept my passport with me at all times in the large inside zip pocket and credit cards in the RFID exterior closure with the double zipper latches on one side (note the zipper gaps a little there but not at all an issue) so didn’t need my wallet (weird for me but it was the right move on this trip). There’s a center zip area there also and another zip compartment on that side for securing things. The reverse side has a sliding zipper pass-through fabric loop and in that section I kept things I needed frequently like alcohol wipes, receipts of the day in there, tissues, etc… In the main compartment I kept my phone, a backup phone battery, cables, and daily necessities. Small items such as lip moisturizer, hand mirror, emery board, phone, etc…i kept inside small open pockets there. And a pen in the vertical pen slot (prefer this to horizontal ones which always gets in the way). The bag has a round hole circled in silver on one side for a phone/camera charging cable to pass through but the end of my cable was too wide to fit through it. Ideally they should have a rubber gasket in case you don’t want to use it or can’t…had to cover that area with my arm in an unexpected rainstorm, but everything inside was kept dry. The bag feels heavy when loaded but when used as a crossover it’s very ergonomic and comfortable (I’m small framed). I felt safe taking public transport and in crowds. No matter where I am I’m always cognizant with my belongings and of potential opportunists eying to take your stuff. This would deter someone because it’s too much to fiddle with in a hurry. And they can’t easily cut the strap. Though note one side of the strap is permanently attached to the bag and the other has a clasp so you can attach to a chair or something to secure it. I added a tie there so no one could easily open it and run away with my bag (this is where Travelon strap clasps excel with their locking system and would be good for Baggalini to design a similar one). Now that I’m home I use it as my regular handbag. I like it that much. Got the burgundy color (was the only color available when I purchased it and love it and still looks brand new…I spot cleaned a small area with water once while away and you’d never know it). The bag was expensive…the biggest downside and a week after receiving it the price dropped nearly $20.00 and then went back up several days later. The only thing I missed while traveling was a water bottle holder on the bag but see they have a slightly larger bag that has one and had with the same security features..,anti-slash and zipper pull hook, compartments, etc… though not the same layout. Though I usually carried another bag with me…a backpack/sling with my raincoat, umbrella, snacks, and water bottles. The bag I purchased was very well designed and while expensive it is very well made and designed and is nice enough to take to a nice resturant or play.

Before purchasing this Baggallini Bag I read the reviews and thought, well, that sounds silly! Everyone was gushing 'I LOVE this bag!', 'this bag is gorgeous!'. I thought they sounded kind of silly. Well, let me join the throngs of happy reviews! It is beyond fabulous! We travel a lot and this bag is truly the most secure purse on the market, with countless secret pockets, zippers inside and out, sturdy and yes, I love it and it is gorgeous! I was even surprised by the color.......amazing! It is the perfect size, not too big but big enough to carry more than just the essentials. I am not waiting to use it for the next trip. This will be my go-to everyday, anywhere purse!!!

Visiting Pris a year ago, I was trying to find where the rental cars were located (do yourself a favor, ydo not rent from Hertz in Paris), surrounded by bags, trying to find my way with my phone directions. I slipped the phone in the pocket of my loose pants and 15 minutes later realized it was gone. During that same trip, a Parisian woman on the sidewalk near me had her shoulder purse snatched. She screamed, three men ran after the thief, caught him and held him until police came. I just got back from visiting Rome, where the problems with purse snatchers and pickpockets are even worse so I invested in the Baggalini bag. I loved almost every single thing about it. The card holders that protect the identity of your info, the locking clips that were easy to undo for me but would make it impossible for a thief, the many little pockets, most with zippers, for organizing and creating a second layer of protection. I wore the strap crossbody so it could not be snatched and the slash-resistant strap and body of the bag would keep a thief from just being able to cut the bag off me ot pull items out of my purse quickly. It had just the right room for my phone, sunglasses, a couple of cosmetic items, a small tube of sunscreen, with space to add any little items like jewelry I might buy. And of course, for my passport. Of course, I don't know if any thieves were targeting me. To be sure, a purse like this signals you have things worth stealing, but then, any American tourist is going to have things worth stealing and I'm not exactlu going to fool anyone into thinking i'm an Italian. What's clear to me is that any thief who might have been eyeing me would know what these anti-theft bags look like and go look for an easier target. Of course, you still have to be careful. The bag has to be worn crossbody, and stay there and in your lap during meals etc. You have to remain aware, and you have to keep locking the zippers. So, my one complaint: The strap can't be fully detached and re-attached to be crossbody instead of over the shoulder, so the lower part of the strap is pulled tighter by the weight of the bag instead of staying in nice, flatter position. Considering that cross-body is absolutely the way to prevent theft, this is a real oversight, but one that can be lived with pretty easily. My baggalini will be coming with me on future trips and anywhere where I feel some extra security is needed. I got it in the taupe color, which went well with the blue-and-beige clothing I mostly wore on the trip and doesn't show dirt. I highly recommend it but would love to see the company fix that crossbody strap issue.

If I could I would give 10 stars I would. Was looking for a smaller purse for overseas trip to provide security items which this does. You don't need a wallet, saving room and weight and it has plenty of room and pockets. It even fits my plus size cell phone. I had bought another Baggallini but found it really was not convenient to access. A woman came into doctor's waiting room with this purse in same material as Baggallini I had just purchased that I was not crazy about. We started talking about hers and she showed me its features. I immediately ordered her model on Amazon while sitting there and it was half the price. I would never had picked this one not seeing it and all the room it had (especially for my larger phone and wallet compartment). I use it everyday now and my new shoulder replacement appreciates the lighter load I am now carrying!

Best traveling purse I have ever purchased. I am a female solo traveler that frequent Mexico. I loved having the option to lock my zippers together, to help avoid any type of theft. I wore it Crossbody and kept my passports in one of the outer pockets, so it was easy to access multiple times throughout the airport. I am getting ready to purchase another because I have had this purse for about a year and a half and it needs replaced. I feel that I got my moneys worth out of the first one, so I am going to re-order another. The reason I want to replace is because some of the silver metal areas have tarnished and I cannot get that back to normal and also the strap has gotten very stiff and somewhat uncomfortable. I am still giving it a five star review because of how much I really liked it when it was in great condition.

The bag itself is great. Nice material. Perfect size. Great pockets. I am writing a review because the strap is awful. It does not stay adjusted and it twists all over the place. I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal and I would just buy a new strap for it. After all, it has a removable strap; right? Wrong! One side comes off but the other side is sewed in place. Why?! So I had to cut through kevlar-like material with wire cutters to get this material off so I could replace the strap. So I guess if you like the strap and you are looking for really good security on your twisty purse strap, you are good. I would have preferred either a nicer strap or a strap that was removable on both sides.

I have several Baggalini bags and I have never been disappointed in quality. In fact, the strap on this one actually seems more sturdy than the regular nylon ones (though I didn’t mind those either). This is not a big purse! If you were looking for a big purse, that will fit a ton of stuff, you will definitely need to look elsewhere. However, for reference, I typically carry a wristlet with just necessities. I found myself looking to be able to carry my money and cards and also throw my keys and Phone comfortably in a purse if needed as well. This is nearly impossible with a wristlet. In this bag, I fit all of my cards, cash, and coins in the attached wallet. I can then fit a travel size antibacterial sanitizer, Travel size contact lens case, a pen, my keys, lip gloss, and my phone if needed, and a few other “women” items when necessary. This all fits very comfortably But more than that, and the bag would become overstaffed and not comfortable to carry. I am not sure if it is entirely worth the price I paid off sale, but I would absolutely grab another one when the price of the other colors fluctuate. This would also be a perfect bag for travel if you normally carry a large bag and want to downsize just to travel. It also has many antitheft functions that I will not likely be using often. But they look very useful if you need that. However, terrific for every day use as well. If anything changes negatively to the quality or otherwise, I will come back and update my review.
