This product is used mainly to slice English muffins each morning which i have with my breakfast. Occasionally I eat bagels but I have not yet purchased any bagels but I suspect this slicer will do just as well with bagels as it does with English muffins. I am very satisfied with the product and recommend it highly. It came well packaged and is easy to use and clean. If you have young children keep them at a distance, that blade is sharp and the device is meant only for adults.

The product is well built and works great. My two concerns are the cleaning of the cutter itself is a bit difficult but doable. The other concern is that if you have large size bagels, they do not fit in the holder. I tend to purchase my bagels from Panera or local jewish deli's. In both cases, the bagels are larger than standard size.

My seven years old daughter loves to cut breads and bagels to help me, it was very stressful to watch her slice bagels using a serrated bread knife.When we visit my friends home they were using this slicer-How fun and easy! This slicer has several faults, the most glaring is the incredibly dull blade. Unless you have a dense bagel, this slicer will just smash them as illustrated in my photos. Another issue is that due to the V shaped blade it does not fully slice the bagel. The point of the blade hits the bottom and that's it. It should of been designed with the bottom higher up so that the entire width of the blade reaches the bottom of the bagel. The third fault is that it's too narrow, fine for generic grocery store bagels, but you'll likely have a hard time with more bakery sized ones. Even Costco bagels are too large and need to be squished to fit. I would not recommend this.

We're very happy with this product. It's simple to use, easy to clean, looks very nice in our kitchen and works beautifully. I think the small (cleaning?) brush that was included with it is a bit superfluous but it certainly doesn't hurt anything.

I bought this cuz it says it fits muffins and bagels. Well, it does not fit Panera bagels (yes, I know they are bigger and slightly more fancy than normal bagels.) But other than that, it seemed nice. I put it back in the box and now its sitting on my shelf cuz I let the return time run out. Its not a bad slicer, just not big enough for what I need it for.

This bagel slicer works very well. Some bagels, Finagle a Bagel, are a little too full and you have to squeeze them in but for others it is a perfect fit. It is sharp enough to effectively and easily slice the bagel. I look forward to using it - makes slicing fun!
