  • Badger excellence as always!!!
The Badger 155 Anthem is a top notch, American made, siphon feed airbrush. This particular version comes with a .7mm needle that is good for painting larger items and substrates such as canvas, tumblers and larger model cars. Along with the airbrush and needle/nozzle this kit arrives with an air hose with 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch ends, a siphon feed jar, two additional jars with caps, a small color cup and a Badger 1/8 inch adapter to connect the air hose to the airbrush. Within my airbrush arsenal I own three of these airbrushes and consider them essential to my kit. They're easy to clean and have a large drop-in style self centering nozzle. Combined with the handle cutout and rear design of this airbrush, it is easy to remove the needle without having to remove the rear handle of the airbrush. Since by design there are no o-ring seals, you may need to occasionally apply a little bee's wax to the threads where the head attaches to the airbrush, this in order to prevent air leaks. That all said, I highly recommend this excellent airbrush. It is a wonderful tool that's great for beginners to professional airbrush artists. ... show more

  • Missing parts
Does not actually contain 1/4 Oz color cup, or metal cap, as depicted in advertisement or on box. I returned my first order hoping the replacement would have the advertised parts. As you can see in the attached pictures, that wasn't the case. Other than that, the airbrush seems to work fine.

  • Air brush seems to be perfect for beginners
Air brush seems to be perfect for beginners. It is easy to take apart and clean, easy to handle, sprays paint fairly evenly. One downside is you have to find the absolutely perfect pressure from your compressor to work this brush. With my compressor it seems there is a 1 to 2 pound difference between good spray and intermittent spray. In order for this product to work properly you need to think your paint a little more than I like, which can cause streaks if you are spraying a hard surface. I would recommend this product to a beginner but not an advances or intermediate air brusher. The trigger has a smooth action, but does not release paint where I would think the start of spray should be. Overall nice product, was worth the money for me but maybe not all. ... show more

  • Hang on to your Aztek A470
2 or 3 days of fighting with this thing it's probably going back if Amazon will take it....hang on to your Aztek A470. The Anthems gravity feed cousin the Patriot. may have some merit, but the Anthem is a pain in THE! I've been using a Testors Aztek A470 for 18 some years. Thinking I could get more precise fine lines for plastic models, especially in camouflaging, I splurged and bought both Badger editions. I have mixed, thinned, remixed and it's nothing but, splat sputter or nothing, or worse. Tried the stock needle and the fine detail after market badger needles with equally bad results. Yet the VERY SAME paint mix runs through the Aztek, and atomizes BEAUTIFULLY with little effort. I understand EVERY airbrush has its own quirks, but my experience, so far, is that once set, the Aztek retains it's spray pattern pretty well - the Anthem does not. The Aztek also works well as a gravity feed and I can get some fairly small freehand lines - I'd prefer pencil line as Badger "promises", but honestly, what good is it, if it won't stay that way long enough to get some work done? I can't spend several hours, every time, (which I have with both Badgers), trying different paint mixes and adjustments to get the same line more than once and for more than a few seconds at a time. The badgers are both messy and high maintenance - there are too many small parts to lose. The needle is FAR too exposed and VERY easy to bend no matter how careful you may be. If you INSIST on having one of these I recommend a good sharpening stone - you will probably need it. I will give Badger ONE thing, for sure: Customer service seems OUTSTANDING, Testors not so much these days. ... show more

  • Ooops...
I accidentally ordered 2 of these badger airbrushes. I wanted to try one out and see if it done what I needed it to do and it did. So I am super glad I have 2. They work great, I figured with the size needle that came installed it would be great for general use, but to my surprise these do really great fine line detail work as well. They are a great addition to the 4 other Badger airbrushes. I have found that Badger for the price, make a great airbrush for beginners and pro's. I strongly suggest anyone thinking of trying one of these bad boys to go ahead and do it. You will not regret it. And free labor on these brushes gives one a piece of mind. Thank you Badger!!! ... show more
