What turned me on to this food was the reality that Herps feeding upon insects raised with an overly nutritious diet could cause serious digestive problems for the Herps. I have lost several generations of lizards where I blamed myself for improper care even though they had been eating well and had a decent environment. It is because I had created my own far too high-protein diet to feed my Dubia roaches and crickets upon which they were feeding. This is not to say that all Herps react equally! Frogs and Turtles may react quite differently to insects raised upon overly nutritious diets. All I know is I lost many lizards because of my exaggerated sense of animal husbandry! ... show more

I should of took a pic but I'm not at home. My roaches will eat this over ANYTHING! I have a nice size colony of red runners. They get so excited when the smell is in the air. Like sharks to chum. I use the basic premium roach chow. Haven't tried the other "flavors" yet. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", mentality. I just NEED the 5lb bags to come back ASAP. I'm having to order 2, 2lb bags a month which is getting to expensive. Plz make the larger bags again 🙏. I refuse to give up on ur brand, but I would really appreciate the bigger bags. My Dubia's love this stuff. I try to give them a decent variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. If I have good variety I may not give dry food, but if I only have 1-2 different fresh food or completely run out of time I'll give them this. Without fail my Dubia's will go straight for this. Received in a resealable mylar/plastic lined kraft bag which I actually like better than the picture bag *Side note I do not ever feed mine dry dog or cat food and only this and bug burger for premade food. ... show more
