I wanted to hide my neighbor's messy backyard without spending too much money. I attached this bamboo fencing to our chain link fence with some tie wraps. Is it the most beautiful fence in the world? - No, but for less than $20 bucks I think it looks great! Of course it won't give you full privacy/cover because of the space in between each individual reed, so if you're looking for that, this isn't the product for you. However, I think it hides my neighbors yard well enough. Good quality, the material is not too flimsy and super easy to instal. 10/10 recommend! ... show more

Very sparce material, NOT suitable for privacy barrier. The item is as described, I guess, but the images make it look like it is much more solid. There is nearly as much space in between the reeds as there is material (see pictures), and you can see right through it. The reeds are also very brittle, and several of were broken right out of the box. You get what you pay for, I guess, but misleading. ... show more

All in all this bamboo fencing did the job and looks very pretty. Here are the reasons I am disappointed: value and quality. After I had fully installed them I saw the exact same ones at Home Depot for less than half the price-$28. I paid $62 which probably much of it went to shipping even though Amazon says “Free shipping”. What they really mean is “we’ll charge you the most expensive amount of shipping but add it to the product price, and make you feel like you’re getting free shipping.” Secondly, for this price I expected a sturdy bamboo. What I got was long very thin bamboo that I could very easily break with two hands if I wasn’t careful. Depending where you put it you may be able to see clear through it it too. Product was a good price for what I needed. Originally purchased first order from Wayfair and it took over a week to arrive. Ordered a second for full coverage from Amazon and it arrived in one day, same price. Would not recommend for a stand-alone fence as it is flimsy. I really got this for the feel, not so much the privacy. When I go look out the front I can see through it, but from my side window it looks more private. I liked it so much I ordered a 3rd roll to totally enclose that area. I did buy a screen the same color to go on the outside of the fence to add more privacy now that I have the 2 sections up. I am using it for my patio outside area, so I have lights strung up and wanted that feeling of being somewhere else besides my back yard. I may add a fake tree out there, maybe a palm. I can't wait to see what it looks like at night. But I did go ahead and place an order for the other section because I do want to block it all the way off. It was easy to put up.
