When we travel we often bring food with us, but don’t have enough hands to carry all our bags and a cooler. Love that we can sling this on our back and go. (Same for going to the beach.) It has a deep, well lined main compartment…but what I really like are all the zippered pockets in the front and inside, as well as mesh pockets on the side. (Plus a nice, concealed pocket on the backside where you can carry a wallet and phone.) Drinks, paper plates, utensils, dry foods…they all have a place on the outside of the cooler. Even comes with a bottle opener on the side. Comfortable straps and padding on the back side make it easy to carry. Helpful grab-and-go loop on the top too. So far the zippers are really good..will update it anything breaks down too quickly. ... show more

This cooler has been growing on me. When I first took it out of the box I wasn’t impressed. It was collapsed for shipping and difficult to unfold and keep upright. I’ve since taken it to the neighbors for a fire. I packed it full of beers and and bottle of wine. It easily fit a 6-pack, bottle of wine, 2 Yeti ice packs and a snack. I also realized that this thing had storage EVERYWHERE. Most of the secondary storage is insulated too. There was a spot for my wife’s iPhone 13 max cell phone, multiple koozies, flashlight, water bottle, bottle opener & more. Another nice option is the backpack straps. They allowed us to take our lawn chairs AND carry the cooler on my back at the same time. I can see this being handy for the beach as well. I can’t speak for its ability to keep drinks cool in hot weather yet because it’s fall in Michigan now and relatively cool (50’s). Our drinks were ice cold the whole night for what it’s worth. This has proven to be a very useful backpack. I don't drive much, preferring instead to ride my bike everywhere I need to go. This includes grocery shopping. For most of my shopping I have a large backpack that I have been able to carry more than 50lbs with. The problem is with cold foods like ice cream. Since getting this new backpack I have begun to shop for cold items separately (when I need several things) and use this cooler to get them home. It has carried ice cream, butter, ice, and several other cold food items over several miles and trips that last as much as 45 minutes. So far only the ice I carried, on a very hot day, began to melt. That melt was relatively minor, too. The only reason I took off one star is for the straps. By themselves they work just fine, but with heavy food items they tend to pull hard on the shoulder/arm joint which can be painful on long trips. A strap across the chest would mitigate that issue immensely. Overall this is a great backpack. There are lots of storage pockets and a bungie strap on the front for carrying several items outside of the cooler area. I love it. ... show more

The backpack does exactly what it advertises. It'll keep stuff cold longer. It's just like any insulated container you use to keep things cool longer. The most important thing to me - the zippers feel high quality. I can't stand cheap backpacks with zippers that just snap off. This is definitely a good one. It's got plenty of little pockets too. So here's my concerns - the criss-cross bungee cording in the front? It serves zero purpose, it literally isn't used for anything. It's just for style. If you mess with it too, it feels like it'd snap pretty soon. But it wouldn't matter, since it does nothing. Also, all the little pockets - great because it's a backpack, but they aren't insulated or anything, they're just pockets. So the backpack feels like a super weird hybrid of storage and backpack. I don't have any idea when I would use the pockets for all the extra stuff if I'm just carrying cold sodas or water....they aren't big enough to hold much, so limited use. And then you could just use it as a backpack.... But since the entire center is insulated, it makes no sense to use it for items that you're not wanting to keep cold. Food or drink. So the item is cool, it just is hard to use it to its full extent. But for what it is, a large insulated storage that you can wear on your back, it does what it's supposed to do really well. ... show more
