We had a minor spill and it was so easy to clean up and wash out the waterproof inside. The insolation kept everything super chilled on our hike as well as our 3 hour drive home. We did you chill packs, not ice packs so I imagine if you used ice packs everything would stay cold for a very very long time. It was 96°F out and stayed cold cold cold! I love all the pockets too! I bought this to replace my backpack and lunchbox and it is better than I thought. Both mybackpack and lunchbox's zippers gave out at the same time and I took it as a sign. I was tired to taking 2 things to work on the crowded bus anyway. I looked all over for a bag like this and weighed the options. Once I saw this bag, I just stopped looking. I paid extra to get it overnights and do not regret it at all. This bag is a million times better than I could have wished for or expected. It is durable and incredibly well made. The insulated lining is thick and sewn in very well. Everything is of excellent quality and craftsmanship. The zippers and straps are sturdy and not cheap at all. The stitching is secure arlbd neat. The outter fabric is of durable and of consistent thickness. I am stunned at how deep the pockets are both on the back top and front and all 3 on the sides.
