As a college student, this backpack has been a good fit for me. Carrying loads of books and a laptop (weighing approximately 15-20 pounds) to school, this backpack outlasts any other backpacks that I had. Most of my older backpack ripped somewhere at the bottom after only a few months of use (due to the sharp edges of my books and binders). However, this one is built with a thick layer covering the bottom. This backpack by ProEtrade does quite well according to my expectations. The overall backpack structure is made of a durable material with padded compartments. The strap is comfortable and contains these padded looking massage protrusions. This backpack is ideal for summer as there are two lines of padding in the back, which allows ventilation. There are three main compartments. The inside compartment is padded to hold a computer or a tablet while the outer compartments provide plenty of rooms to contain loads of books and school supplies. In addition, the size of the roomy compartments can be adjusted by the two straps on the right and left sides of the backpack. Moreover, the backpack works as described. The lining is made out of waterproof materials. I doubted that it is waterproof in the beginning. However, after testing it with my shower head a few times, I find it to be waterproof as described. Thus, I found it ideal for me to safely carry my laptop and other electronic devices in this backpack. In addition, the thick padding at the bottom and the back helps to further secure my laptop. Interestingly, this backpack has a pocket with a zipper and a plastic hole to let me charge my phone while carrying this backpack. The backpack is also spacious enough to help me carry my folders and binders without worrying about not being able to fit all my papers in it. Furthermore, the side straps help to adjust how much space available to hold my items. The whole backpack is good quality, durable, and well-made. The price is very reasonable and affordable considering the quality. Overall, it is padded well and the back is lined with breathable mesh padding. I have no other qualms or complaints about the backpack and am quite satisfied with it. Overall, I give this product five stars. ... show more

Bought it for my teenage son as his book bag. He uses it for 5 months now and he carries many books in it and it feels sturdy and holds up well. I like the many compartments in the bag as well.

    • Everything’s good, except for the side mesh pockets

Everything else is super solid. The straps are sturdy, there’s tons of pockets, it’s able to handle more than 20 pounds worth of stuff (my average school supply weight). The only real complaints I have are A) I wish there was a little sleeve for the battery pack, since you can plug it into the little plug thing on the side. I just worry about the battery pack being broken since it’s just floating around in my bag, and the cords are so short. And B) the mesh side pockets frey and tear from the reinforced elastic lip fairly often. It’s gotten to the point that I carry around a portable sewing kit to fix them if the need arises. They’re good if the stuff you put into them aren’t stretching them to the max, just be aware. Otherwise, super solid! ... show more

The backpack has held up well after one year of use. The only failure was one of the mesh beverage holders failed where attached. I used this backpack for a year of college. Has seen rain and snow. It required two city buses each way to and from school, which is hard on any bag. Since I take the bus to school, this bag has been overstuffed to the point that zippering was difficult. . Unlike students who drive to school or live on campus, I had to pack everything needed for the day. The only regret is I paid $37.99 for this backpack a year ago and now it is priced at $28.99. I am going into my second year with the backpack. I will post again a year from now with if it has lasted. ... show more

Purchased this backpack because of all the high reviews. It looked like a sturdy backpack once received. I ordered it July 15th, and my child, who is a sophomore, went back to school on August 12th. Today is now August 18th and the backpack is falling apart in two places, the strap you use to place on a hook and the zipper tearing away. Therefore, because now it is after August 15th it is non-returnable. So, it’s a wasted $35/$40 on it, and I will now have to spend more money for another one soon once the zipper breaks just a tad bit more. ... show more
