As long as you don't overtighten the straps it provides both back support and posture alignment. I've been using it for a few weeks now and can tell that it is helping my posture. I usually wear it for 2-3 hours a day which seems to be sufficient.

I received the posture corrector brace today and immediately put it on. At first, I thought I had made a big mistake. When I initially put it on, I felt some discomfort in the middle of my upper back. Almost thought about taking it off but instantly realized I actually had markedly improved range of motion in my neck/shoulders. I decided to leave the brace on for 5 hours. I have a herniated disc in my neck and need to put this on every day to keep proper neck alignment. I am usually a size XL and found that these run a little small so make sure it fits properly. The tightening is done using velcro straps that you pull on, to pin your shoulders back a little. If you get it too small the middle section will run up towards your chest and make it very uncomfortable so get your correct size. ... show more
